  1. I don't understand the problem? That they give alot of games 7? Well alot of games are fun but not mind-blowing that's the problem with Numbers for example elden ring and Skyrim both have 9 and 10 scores but imo Elden ring is better than Skyrim BUT Skyrim is also amazing

  2. 1 – 5 ratings are better. You really only want a bigger rating scale if you're able to really narrow it down specifically why something is rated at a certain number. 7 is usually considered average on a 10 scale when really 5 should be the average rating. But because a 10 scale is much larger than a 5 scale, a rating of 5 out of 10 looks far less appealing than a 7 out of 10. It makes any number from 4 – 6 almost meaningless.

  3. i dont think IGN has ever given anything a 3 or below like seriously what warrants a 1 to them? a blank model standing in a world with no assets in it whatsoever?

  4. I think most people use 7 as a rating for lot's of things when they want to avoid being too harsh or praise something too highly. 7 should be a good rating but I personally always use it when something is decent or acceptable. 5 and 6 are below average quality.

  5. Balan getting an IGN 4 makes sense, for IGN a 1 is a game that burn down your computer upon launching it, a 2 is game that doesn't launch at all and a 3 is a game that launches then crashes immediatly

  6. Are we still talking about numeric game review scores like it is 2015? What for? Why? People get hung up on a number because they don't know how to read the hundreds of words WHICH ARE THE ACTUAL REVIEW. Find fundamental flaws in the reasoning? Name them. Instead it always is "number wrong". Are you going to carry Milo Yiannopoulos around on an actual throne? Again? Don't care for IGN reviews? Don't watch them. Don't read them.
