Great video as always, cannot wait to see your sim racing setup. My top games in order are Resident Evil 8, Gt7. , Pavlov, Call of the Mountain, and Drums Rock (family have been having a blast with this one.). Switchback will definitely mess with my order once it releases, lol.
Superb, thanks for the comfort ratings… the other day I got too engaged playing RE VIIi and didn’t notice the motion sickness building up… was so intense afterwards!
Hoping this system does well (fingers crossed), very few exclusives currently but i do want this product to succeed as hardware will only be the best for a short period of time.
Resident Evil is brilliant and I definitely agree about the nauseating affects of it when you're thrown around. I could only play in very short bursts
Idk why but I can't get though resident 8 in vr I did pass 7 like nothing in vr but this one is just so clear in psvr2 I guess that why lol
I'm enjoying Drums Rock and Moss 1 & 2 atm the most
In horizon you say the smooth turning has a ghosting effect and one might use snap turninh instead. What about actually physically turning your body around? This has become my default method of turning in VR Great video btw! Can't wait to get my PSVR 2.
i love the PSVR2, its so good GT7 so good now i play every day and all car's is now fun to drive, in 2D i never played it so.
#1 is GT7. #2 is RE8.
I see very much mura; how can you not see it?
Is GT7 really good with just a normal controller?
Top 10? There is only 10.
Just got my PSVR2 yesterday, absolutely loving GT7 and No Man's Sky. Started playing Call of the Mountain, but that one I'll have to get used to yet.
How could No Mans Sky not be included?? The game itself it’s absolutely amazing and only gets better with each update. I haven’t tried the PSVR 2 version but they just added a patch for that too. I can’t imagine it not being top 10 unless they absolutely botched the VR version.
I wish I could stop playing Gran Turismo so I could check out the other games, but I can’t. I had 100 hours before VR and now it’s all like new again. Loving it.
No Man's Sky
I bought one an I've been having to reset my controllers because they work fine in the home screen but they don't work in a game
Pistol Whip is the worst video game ever made, not just a bad VR game.
Great video review! You mentioned The Climb which is also one of my favorites- just so relaxing and exhilarating at the same time! I’m very curious if you can still play The Climb at 90fps on your Valve Index using Revive? Sadly I think it’s broken now, and the was the greatest way to experience it
Re8 is definitely the best title that’s out right now, you have to restart BUT infinite ammo is available in NG+ regardless if the weapon is fully upgraded or not, the requirements for unlockable weapons is no longer tied to NG+ meaning you can get the hand cannon or lightsaber on your first play through if you find all the Goats, and many of the costs for weapons is also reduced meaning less grind.
Agreed with GT7 as best game so far on the PSVR2. I'm new to GT7 and if you're new too one suggestion I have is if you're having a tough time with having enough credits is trying the Online Time Trial challenge in the Sports section, if you make it into Bronze you get 500k, silver 1 million, and gold 2 million. I was able to get silver on my first one and now can afford to buy tons of cars and parts.
Definitely don't sleep on Synthriders for PSVR2. absolutely stunning with their Lindsey sterling experience that bring out the OLED display SO GOOD… and it's even got cross platform multiplayer to boot. The devs are suuuuuper nice too. they are active during every weekend to play with the community in multiplayer
Pistol whip is an awesome game. I have no motion sickness at all while playing it. Super fun game and good replay value.
What about after the fall!
Check 0ut" Runner " it's truly a gem and it's only 14 dollars
Great list Mike, I agree with almost all of it, including the placings. RE8 is no doubt a masterpiece for fans of horror, of which i am not and have zero intention of ever playing it…. I'm glad to have a reviewer actually not putting it at number 1 when it is a niche genre that not everyone likes. I havn't played GT7 yet as i get so bored in sim racers, but with so many raving about it, i have a G29 wheel and will give it a go this weekend… will come back in a day or two and post my impressions
One game I hardly see talked about, is that beat drums. Sure it ain't anything special on the technical department, but it is a fun game to play in VR.
Why are you flipping us off in your thumbnail?
VR2 is awesome, I can’t stop playing it . I bought Gt 7 for £20 new and must say it is awesome in VR2 with G29 steering wheel. So definitely agree with it being No 1 in your top 10
people really sleep on dualsense motion steering In GT7. It's the way to go in VR if you don't have a wheel.
That list covered almost 1/4 of their total games
Following up on the early comments about the RE jerking you around something I'm interested in hearing (maybe in the upcoming GT7 video) is what happens when you crash? Considering it's a "cockpit" style experience probably not that bad?
It is the droid from the Mandolorian
I’m loving the psvr2 so far
Keep throwing me like a rag doll Capcom! I love your survival horror style of immersion!
I have a psvr 2 and a valve index, “the index is better”
I love the Horizon Franchise! I am a "top fan"… yet "Call of The Mouuntain" is a poor VR game The Climb 3.0 anyone?! Just image for one seconds… imagine… Lone Echo 1 & 2 on PSVR2 or many of the Oculus exclusives (which I played using Revive on SteamVR long before I got a Quest 2 to try out natively). What I am trying to say is… Oculus PCVR had/has sooo many awesome games! Asgard's Wrath?! Sad to see that NONE come close to any of those Where is Stormlands? Arktika? Where is ROBOT RECALL?! (Oh right… Star Wars: Squadrons + HOTAS?!?! Or Project Cars?) The list can go ON!!! :))) (OFC the big Elephant in the room is HL:A ^_^) I am not trying to bash on PSVR2 or anything… but CONTENT IS KING… so I returned the PSVR2 and I'll stick with my Vive Pro 2 & 1 (moded & wireless) & Quest 2 for a bit( I am still playing Alien Isolation with the very old and now clunky VR mod in the meantime – but man… even so.. that is SOOOO GOOOD!) I really wish and WANT Sony to actually talk with the DEVS and Mod makers and add all these GEMS of VR games!!! (In the meantime… I'll go back to some reverse engineering and try to port some new games to PCVR ^_^ I don't even think you looked or covered my Wolfenstein II PCVR mod Either you thought it was THAT bad or you simply did not see it ^_^ No harm done in any case ^_^ )
Why wouldn’t u want to start over in vr ! Don’t seem like a negative to me !
