so apple’s profit margin per device dropped significantly from 95% pure profit to 93% pure profit. They really must have hated having to make that “expensive” change… I’m sure they just adjusted the “huge” loss by shortening the lunch break for the cheaply paid chinese folks that build them. One day it’d be nice to see apple care about their customers rather than only care about raping their pocketbooks. Even drug cartels put a reasonable profit margin on their products

So glad I landed a 6s when my discontinued SE took a swan dive. I remember "Bendgate", but never had an interest in the larger phone profiles until I literally had no choice within Apple's ecosphere. And this is what I love most about a late adoption strategy. The kinks and bugs are revealed, and patched or remedied, maybe over a single generation or with a update, and the resulting solution comes my way at a fraction of full market price. Choice!
