Put the hands on a boss at the beginning of the game?? that’s legendary status.
Is this another blood born type of game? Were if you die you loose all the items/progress you had made and get ported back to the last checkpoint you had? Or is is more like a single player game with often checkpoint and no death penalties?

there really no reason to beat the boss besides bragging rights and practice,you don't even earn anything from beating him.
