Cars like this circumventing people's habits to follow way too closely and implementing strategies to minimise traffic (eg. driving slower when it's going to have to stop soon if approaching fast so the car doesn't need to stop and start, starting at the same time as other autonomous vehicles, ect.) is going to completely change safety with regards to travelling, as well as travel times because human impatience won't be able to cause traffic (through crashes or poor habits like following too close, speedings ect.)
