6:23 if you could change the orientation of two screens to be horizontal, that would be clutch for say watching a show and responding to email, social media scrolling
So, what I'm hearing is, there is absolutely no excuse for camera bumps on candybar phones anymore.
I agree they look so sick. I’m a fan. That said, I’ll prob never buy one bc iPhone is not only the gold standard, but there are literally social expectations to remain in the Apple product universe.
Why can't we view content diagonally on the folding phone. Think about for a sec 4:03
Lets be honest who really likes foldables
And why would we care !! That it's not an ipad mini ??? I mean what the heck ! Review the device …please
Thank god we have China on world map.. Else Apple and Samsung would be selling medieval tech for futuristic price tag
I thing average consumers don’t really see a purpose for a folding smartphone especially with the high cost involved
For real, I prefer a more "square" folded format to have the perfect unfolded format (I mean, in the end…the format with more use )
I have no use case for a unfolded squared screen
Just came from mrwhosetheboss's review out today
Make it a bit wider and then it would be a better ratio when opened, I’d take it
I’ll buy a foldable when they make the front symmetrical and look like a normal phone. They’re getting close
His video quality and effects always look so professional
The fact that he says that black bars on the iPad are less than the n5 is crazy when one is horizontal and one is in vertical position. flip the iPad vertical and it'll have just as big of black bars. flip the in n5 horizontal and the bars get smaller… How does someone do this for so many years and make such obvious mistakes??
The screen ratio issue will be solved with Quadfold phones.
What they need to do is focus on the internal display aspect ratio and let the outer screen be what it is. As a folding phone user since the Fold 2, I dont care to use the outer screen as a regular phone. I only need it to make calls and do light tasks when I cant or dont want to open the phone.
Mann, these phones are getting crazy! Truly an engineering marvel fr fr
Why on earth would you buy expensive chinese phone? either buy from samsung or apple this guy is paid to spew anything
Only if other brands can match Samsung's software support
just wait till apple walks into the space and this becomes mainstream
The storyline on this video is all over the place. So not MKBHD. Went from foldables form factor as a whole, to comparisons with the iPad mini then to a review of the Oppo. Confusing
Might be interested in selling or trading my z-fold 6 for this oppo because it looks way better out and in
I've already saw the square problem when samsung released it's first foldable phone.
Oppo seems to always have the best new features
I wish we had a US brand do the same
Mrwhosetheboss has the same thumbnail, change yours bro
The on display graphics look so clean. Honestly, all of the graphics in this video look sweet.
Foldables are cooked in general. It’s automatic e-waste. I don’t know why anyone would think they are “sick”.
I feel like the honor magic V3 is thinner
I just want a sub 6" screen, 1440, 120hz, no in screen camera or fingerprint scanner, 99% screen to body, 1tb internal storage. Is that too much to ask?
I've never used a foldable, but I can't really see doing so. I just can't stomach the price differential. In my mind, I have a phone to be able to do things when I'm not at a PC. It's a compromise. Maybe a foldable would be LESS of a compromise, but it would still be a compromise over two or three 20"+ monitors. It just seems like a LITTLE more room, but not a game changer in any way, certainly not enough to pay an additional $700 for!
Also, I keep thinking that this kind of product is going to go away once we have good options for VR/AR glasses that either connect to your phone and/or have a lot built into them without needing external devices. These devices keep getting better and better, and I can see them becoming a real option for many people, not just early adopters, within the next 5 years. And if they can project virtual monitors in front of you that mimic what it would be like to have multiple huge displays, well, that kind of removes the need for physical displays of any larger size. Maybe there will still be the need for a (hopefully smaller than 6") display on a phone so that we can easily share images or video with others who don't smart glasses that we can transmit to, but otherwise I think the need for physical displays for portable devices at least goes way down, and it might do so even for large tvs. If you and your family can all watch a movie on your respective set of glasses simultaneously, why spend the money, and use all the extensive materials for a large display that eventually need to go into a landfill?
Nowadays everything is cooking
Wtf is that thumbnail
While Samsung is roasting Apple for not having any foldables, chinese companies like huawei, honor, oneplus, oppo and vivo should roast Samsung for making the same foldables in these recent years
I always thought the hotdog-style fold was a dumb idea.
Honor Magic 7 Pro review please.
Bravo.

Foldables are stupid. We've spent decades trying to get our screens more resistant to scratches, now they think foldables with a crease down the middle and no protection from scratches is a good idea. The folding and creasing of wires and other equipment also introduces a larger footprint for failure.
Never ever going back to a non-foldable device. I have been converted
I think you've run out of things to say.
Watching 1990s television on it would be better than on the iPad mini
Make the corners symmetrical (match the hinged corners to the unhinged ones) and make the phone taller with a 2.39:1 cover screen (that will make it open more like an rectangular tablet than a square).
I own the OnePlus Open since more than a year now. Absolutely love it. Can't see myself going back to a normal phone anytime soon. I was looking forward to seeing the V2 this year but honestly I don't have any reason to upgrade yet.
I think if they get popular enough, people will just start providing more content for that aspect ratio. It's probably not as "native" since cameras most likely shoot in a rectangle, but im sure people would find a way.
The entire premise of this video is absolutely absurd running out of ideas stuff. You're saying that a perfect phone with added fold functionality would be a hard sell over the SAME PRICED non fold version (Everything else being exactly the same)…. Because the unfolded screen is square??? Do you hear yourself?
Basically tri-fold is the answer for this problem.
I've literally never seen someone use a foldable around me. Not a single soul. Unnecessary.
