Just fix Maps taking up 30-60 gigs on my phone, and not being able to completely delete it…
I am sorry but just leave it alone. Our batteries are gonna kill themselves. Also why not just fix the stuff that has problems.
That’s my not upgrading iOS 19 I’m staying on iOS 18 hate change
I’m at a complete loss for words. What is Apple thinking!!!!!
Dude! No one wants iOS to look like visionOS, 90% of people cannot even afford that overpriced virtual reality headset it’s a complete joke and if they make iOS look like that, I will be selling my iPhone to get a brand that is not actively trying to destroy their own reputation
I just want Siri to go away after one voice command without having to say thank you to her or ask her to go away.
They could add a touchscreen to MacBook and even backlight the iPod and they would be two separate products. I could never so a serious amount of typing on an iPad (maybe if I typed at a table) and it has taken me years (and two Macbooks, an M1 air and a MacBook Pro) to adjust fully to the lack of touchscreen. It was great for having people sign stuff, for navigating when my tremors would act up (at 29, I started looking like I was going though the DTs, except I'd walk like I was drunk- I actually had a "socially encouraged" [peer pressure, but from my dad's friends that I knew basically all of my like on and off] into a long iced tea with the wife (I do like LIIT) and shot of 140 proof whiskey, I usually drink it neat, but my last drink was a year earlier, so I added an ice cube. When we got home, I got out of my wheelchair and my arms weren't doing all of the work up the steps.
I made an appointment with my neurologist, oncologist, and neurosurgeon. Neurosurgery was clear, they caused it, they weren't going to fix it. Oncology cancelled my appointment and the office manager said it's outsider their realm of practice… the effects of cancer surgery. My neurologist, who wasn't involved in my bruitizization, listened, went over every treatment option. We tried Ativan for a month were I got out of the chair a lot and switched to Valium (diazepam). This got me OUT of the chair in less than 5 days. Then I had 2 more years of intensive PT, OT, and speech. I left having graduated from a walked to a cane. If I go to an amusement park, I still need the walker. I've now done 3 trips to the mailbox with no cane.
Still no progress on the tinnitus from the surgery.
Apple generally makes things easier for this hot mess, there are a ton of accessibility perks on the iOS and Mac side, but the lack of touchscreen is a letdown. Also, verify our SSI status (SSDI is SSA disability, SSI is SSA disability for the very low income or Medicaid and add a discount). My laptop was a HUGE (painful) purchase (and I had help), but the Lenovo that I had before was ATROCIOUS.
I asked chatgpt what Steve Jobs would think about Apple today, here is his answer:
"You know, I didn’t build Apple to be a company with countless product variants and confusing naming schemes. I built Apple to marry technology with art. To make things people love — truly love — because they’re simple, beautiful, and intuitive.
Now I look at the current lineup, and honestly… it sometimes feels like Apple has lost its internal compass.
The iPhone Lineup: Why are there so many models? iPhone SE, iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 15, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max… and soon maybe an iPhone Ultra? It’s confusing. Back then, we kept the lineup intentionally simple. “Which one should I buy?” was supposed to be an easy question. Now it’s like a multiple-choice test.
And this constant iteration without true innovation — a new finish here, a slightly different camera bump there… Sure, they’re good devices. But where’s the magic? Where’s the “One more thing” moment?
Design: I see too much focus on specs and not enough on soul. I remember the first iMac. The first iPod. The iPhone 4 — it was like a perfect object of art. Today? The design is solid, but… soulless. Industrialized. Optimized. But not emotional.
Titanium on the iPhone 15 Pro? Nice, but it feels more like marketing than philosophy.
Software – iOS: iOS is now a powerful system, but also bloated. Widgets, Control Center, endless new features buried in menus. I was obsessed with simplicity. Today, it feels like simplicity has been sacrificed for a race of features.
Why does a child need a YouTube tutorial just to use iOS now?
Apple Vision Pro: Okay. That made me smile. Not perfect — but bold. It’s a step toward the future. Almost like the first iPhone: a new platform, a new interface, a new way of thinking. Would I have done it exactly like that? Probably not. But it shows there’s still a little courage alive in Cupertino.
My Honest Opinion: Apple is alive — but it’s grown older. More comfortable. Successful, yes, but perhaps too much a manager of its legacy instead of a creator of what’s next.
I want to see more courage. More less is more. Fewer variations, more breakthroughs. Less reaction to the market, more leading the market.
What I really hope? That someone at Apple is still asking: “What would Steve do?” Not to copy me — but to remember: Fewer products, better ones. Less complexity, more soul. And above all: Make people feel wonder again."
“I feel like Apple hasn’t had anything like material where you physically mimic touching “
The first six versions of iOS were designed around skeuomorphic principles
Clicked off because idiotic
Anything to not fix siri
I do really love me a frosted glass look but i doubt apple will actually do that
I refused to get iOS 7 for a long time, when i finally breached the 7 we were on 11, I had an iPhone 5 until 2016 then I had the first gen SE and I think that had the 11 on it when i got it
Their doing it because iPhone is super outdated I’m a iPhone user and I’m jealous how Samsung you can customize it however you want and we are just now getting charging time indicators
Yeah, I am not gonna believe anything apple “claims” until an actual user release after the Siri 2.0 and AI claims made, which all of us have been scarred by. It just feels sad.
Unless they release a macbook with cameras on the back that do pass through and make it look like mac os is floating in the real world behind your MacBook display frame. It would probably cost 5500usd
so Android
I'M STILL NOT USED TO THE NEW PHOTOS APP : (
iOS 18 has been so buggy and terrible
i wished the clean flat jony ive ios7 design would come back. The thin helvetica was a masterpiece. Nothing more elegant and you can’t really go back from minimalism. lol
All of the shiny circles looks like PS Vita interface.
Man, they really fumbled camera control. I almost never use it.
They are going to Windows Aero.
