I loved my 5c. I couldnt afford “$100 more” at the time and that phone served me really well.
The most hated iPhone in the tech industry sold the most. That's how the world works outside tech.
I moved to Samsung when my 6 plus got bent. Since then, I have been using Samsung phones.
I have a brand new iPhone 16And anyway I tried to bend it And it didn't it is a very strong phone I really tried to break it I tried I really try to break it I try to bend it from both Sides and it did not bendto.
Wait how did they forget antennae gate????? The worst iPhone controversy off all time. Madness
12 mini may have had a not so great battery, but it should not have gone on the list. That mini got many attention for those that wanted a smaller phone. The 7 should have been in the list because they removed the headphone jack.
I didn't mind the XR because despite the compromises, it did reach the market that wanted an iPhone on budget at the time and still want to stay in the Apple ecosystem. However, the XR deserves to be on the list because in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S10e, when both those phones were released, they were the same price at launch. But the S10e had the better specs.
Watching this on a 12 mini with a fried Autofocus, damn it’s a shame you think it deserves hate
how did u guys not do antennagate?????
10:50 as a device the 16e is fine. But the pixel 9a will soon release. And in a world where both these mid range phones can do about the same, yet the pixel is cheaper, has more battery, another camera and smarter features.
The 16e just doesnt hold value. But value is subjective. To an iphone only user who doesnt need bells and whistles—yeah its fine. Its just that if this phone is trying to be competitive, its failing miserably at that.
facts had my 12 for 5 years and my battery dies quick
Jet Black iPhone 7 though
My 12 mini is still my favourite iPhone of all time.
I loved the iPhone X everybody hating on it glorifies Apple when it still looks like today’s iPhones. Meanwhile my 12pro looks identical to the newest ones
My ranking would be:
7) iPhone 6 Plus as mentioned in the video 6) iPhone 5c – cheap haptics is a no-go for iPhone 5) iPhone XR – the lack of OLED back then was worse than the lack of some charging gimmick today. Overall no clear product. 4) iPhone X – bold move to make such a big leap with such a strategically important product; good phone 3) iPhones Mini – spiritual successor of the 12” PowerBook, always a treat 2) iPhone 16e – the perfect package for non-enthusiast users (i.e. no-one in this comment section): latest chip, good screen, good camera, lower price than the 16. Plus it looks so sleek and minimalist, especially in black. 1) kudos to the original, it deserves respect.
If you hate the 5c you either never had one or you just have bad taste.
“Credit for birthing the modern price tag” yeah, the one that’s stayed the same for 6 years. Also, no iPhone 4 antenna controversy?
Iphone 5c was not ugly it was kinda cute but it got under shadow of iphone 5s
Apple ships nothing more than junk these days
No iPhone 4 antennagate?
I don't think people in North America are the iPhone 16e main target, here in Brazil for example the 16e isn't 100$ cheaper it's actually closer to 200$ cheaper, also because our currency and economy in general sucks this difference really matters, so if you just want a phone that will last you a very long time and don't really care about cameras and stuff it's really worth it
love the deadmau5 shirt still getting screen time
Honestly surprised the 14 wasnt on this list
oh no the Iphone 6 OG did bend, it bent good lol, I have 3 of them in my old phone box lol
Sorry guys, you’re wrong. The iPhone 5C in white is the best iPhone design, and it felt incredible in the hand.
No iPhone 7 without a headphone jack?
it's funny how the "cheap" iPhone in 2025 is more expensive than what the price of the first iPhone was
The iPhone 5C is far worse than the 16e, obviously both at launch. 1st the 5C is (in my personal perspective) dated from day one because it had the last 32bit Apple SoC, the 5S had the A7 (the first 64bit) and that wasnt adressed in this video. Sure it was powerfull enough with 1GB of RAM (same as the 5S and even the 6) and had some raw power, but I tend to use phones for long time so the 32bit was a downside. Also, in one hand it later had a cheaper 8GB version (good in termos of pricing) but even at the time that was awfull (and I had a 4S 8GB, so I know how bad it is). More: Not that it offends me or anything (I personally woudn't mind it) but it was (and still is) the cheaper feeling iPhone of all time (plastic) and Apple never did it again (we all know why). And the poor sales proved it. Lots of people just bought (as said in the video) the 5 from the year before (although officially discontinue at the 5S and 5S event – we all know why!).
Now the 16e. IMHO the 16e doesn't have any obvious flaw, at least for me and the majority of people that will buy it. First it bumped the base storage from 64 to 128GB comparing to the SE 2022. Second it has a A18 chip (ok, a bit worse than the A18 on the 16 and even more comparing to the A18 Pro). Yes, it doesnt have the dynamic island (who cares?), and it doesnt have magsafe (I dont care, specially when most people buy cases that can have magsafe built-in), yes the screen is worse than the 16 regular but even the 16 doesnt have 120Hz so, who cares).
For me the main downside is the camara system. It has only one camera, no OIS and the sensor isnt that good, but I think everyone who really values dont really buy base iPhones, they tipically buy the Pro.
So for me the 5C is far worse.
Iphone X was a trash looking phone though 11 is best
The 12mini in this list is criminal
I have iPhone 6 Plus to this day never bent; but I have to upgrade in May as whappsapp no longer supported
1000% agree. We NEED a pro-mini. It would sell soooooooo well.
Bendgate was incredibly overblown with click bait headlines. It's actually the BEST SELLING SMARTPHONE models of all time. The 6 series was extremely popular because they finally increased the size to get the most space while still being usable with a single hand and it gave us the first Plus as an option. No way it's the most hated.
Did you catch all the Easter eggs for each phone?
