Why does the xtreme 3 sound so thin on video? Irl it's so much better than this
It sounds muffled and lacking distinction, mid and high range. In the pursuit of base, it has no musicality.
Apparently, I would prefer the JBL compared to the speaker that they were testing because the JBL will prefer much more clear and balanced sound while the other speaker will prefer bass music

Guys, I am confused that there are only a few videos about this speaker on the web till this date. I want to see some good comparisons to get an good idea what this thing is capable of. I own a JBL Extreme 3 too and really want to get an reasonable upgrade that still fits in my backpack. The next bigger JBL Boombox 3 is waaay to big for my backback. So I am really looking forward to get more content about this speaker. I already read the review on rtings which lowered my excitement for the brane x speaker. So I want to figure myself out if this thing is good or not for my usecase with A vs B comparison videos. But atm there are none!

That brane has a 6.5" x 9" Subwoofer, Two 2.5" midranges and two 0.75" tweeters and you guys only got that JBL to compare with its two little midrange drivers and tweets?
What about comparing it to something closer to its price range like the boombox 3?
You can compare the size and output, sure. But price, they don’t compare. It’s unfair to JBL.
Awful sound. Distorted mids, highs. Poor clarity. Just rumble… This just proofs that everything is ran by sponsorships.

Jbl is the small one should of compared it to the one that cost just as much as the brane
You can literally hear that it's missing a lot of midrange to get more bass outof a small package, good luck getting clear vocal presence.
