  1. I have heard of plums but I don’t remember eating them. Also, let me crack a joke.
Everyone in the studio: Shut up Ellis!
    Discord: Shut up Marques!

  2. Ill attempt to clear up how animators see this. The SpongeBob animation does look like decent animation but the actual animation (movement) is not why it doesn't work. Video generators in its current form doesn't work in an animation pipeline. For people who don't work in animation, all they see is the finished product, so when then see a generated video that replicates animation, they think its comparable. Thats where where our frustration comes from.

  3. I had no clue what a plum was until I moved to the country I'm in now—it's just not a thing where I'm from! Even now, when you mentioned it, I had to Google it to see what it actually looks like. But Yeah, I’ve tried it once or twice!

  4. 16:02 incredible how quickly bluesky is literally just turning into twitter, except federated lol. also, considering the federated nature of the platform, how are they planning to implement a "subscription" verification system? would all the federated servers have to talk to some central server or what

25:16 this is like chinese ripoff spongbob squarepants lmao. i'd half expect the dialogue to be in chinese

28:16 the shimmery lights at the bottom of a body of water caused by ripples on the surface are called "caustics" apparently. i learned a new term today

47:53 eventually openai is going to realize that people don't actually care and go full mask off

54:10 i heard that subbing but then not watching videos actually hurts your metrics or smth so i think i will actually not be doing that

  5. Would love if sound bites or “drops” were more of a thing in 2025 and then at the end of the year we can have a march madness like tournament voting for them and the eventual champion

  6. Yeah if you like to listen to music you don't want to be doing Google fi. They are just a hub of not good connection. Big networks. There's three of them pick one. That's who we have

  7. The Rabbit R1 folks fixed the battery issue right after your horrible review. Guess what though? recently it sort of does the thing that they originally said it was gonna do – although in a generation 1 kind of way – it's still very fun. This week, they've added AI generated voice and AI generated GUI, which is insanely fun. they have a playground where you can train it to click around on websites in a way you want. It's fun not quite there but it's fun. i'm finding more uses for it as I have it on a lanyard around my neck. All this functionality is very recent so I'm starting to really like it.
