  1. How is making a conscious decision to go almost x3 over the posted speed limit an 'honest mistake'? How is driving recklessly through a school zone an 'honest mistake'? The fact that no one was hurt or put in danger is honestly irrelevant, because this should never have happened to begin with. Full stop. Honestly lost a good deal of respect for Legal Eagle with video, because while he took the common sense stance that you shouldn't post your crimes on-line, he also was something of an apologist for the act itself. I hope this guy does have legal action taken against him. I hope he does lose his license. I hope he reaps the consequences of his conscious decisions because they WERE NOT AN HONEST MISTAKE.

  2. 1. I blame America. It's basically the only country where you get money from crimes 2. These social media folks feel so privileged that they feel they can now buy their way out of anything. Seeing a social media guy driving a lambo like he has no sense make me realize ppl are funding these fools.

  3. Damn those speding violation penalties are crazy to me in sweden you will most Likley loose your licence if you go 20mph over the speed limit once and get stopped for it

  4. It's easy for the Police to confirm your speed by listening to the engine pitch and the gear you're in!
If you are redlining a supercar in the first few gears you will be well over any speed limit!
    Bluring is rather pointless!

  5. In all honesty, the speed limit signs in the US cater heavily to drivers (speed limits in residential areas in other countries are significantly lower). Driving 60 miles over an already gracious speed limit, even if we're being generous and assume that sign wasn't an official sign, is more than an "honest mistake". Marques knew what he was doing. He knows (or SHOULD know, as an automotive YouTuber) that there's not a public road you can legally go 96 MPH on. Hell, some highways have lower speed limits than that (and those are designed for fast driving)!

Brownlee should feel VERY lucky he didn't crash into/run over someone in the process of filming his video.

  6. I have been thinking why dont they use speeding fines based on a percentage over the limit so it adjusts with the speed not just a set miles per hour

  7. You neglected to mention: After the FAA suspended Trevor Jacob’s pilot’s license for 12 months, an FAA lawyer intervened and reduced the suspension to 10 months. (For good behavior???) He has since gotten his pilot’s license back. Many other pilots have received more substantial punishments for far lesser offenses.

So, the real lesson seems to be, if you want to deliberately crash your plane, you absolutely should film yourself doing it and post the video on YouTube?

  8. what's the legal perspective on keeping a 5 galon barrel of paint or a propane tank on the back of your bike so motorists will be disuaded from driving recklessly around you

  9. Damn bro, why is MKBHD acting like this suddenly? Dude had a good record on YouTube and suddenly started being a nuisance by throwing out overpriced cash grabs or doing nonsense like this, I hope he turns things around cause he's being foolish when he should know better.

  10. I don’t understand how someone like MKBHD and other well known YouTubers who test cars frequently, don’t find a space where they can test them like a race track or just make their own race track. That might be an expensive thing to do, but they’re people who have the ability to find sponsors, create content of the process, or otherwise find ways to recuperate the cost overtime including but not limited to reviewing more cars lol. If you want to go fast, go fast legally

  11. I doubt your friends in Europe are freaking out about someone going 35 mph in a residential area, but if they are, it's not because of what that speed means to them but because they're realizing they now gotta go convert that into klicks

  12. I've always wondered about this. Like, did Top Gear and people like Doug Car break the law regularly? Did they stay just within the speed limit, only showcasing acceleration and not speed? Did they get special permissions?

  13. Our boy MK seems to think the only problem here is that he actually included the clip in his video. I mean, that's all he actually apologized for, innit?
Maybe try saying you're sorry you drove like a fool? Nah, that would be like grown-up, or something. Can't have that on a big-time youtube channel.

  14. Imagine being so infathomably rich that you can own that many sports cars and don’t have the decency to go to a track which is designed for going fast. If mfs souping civics inbetweeen working doubles can do it I think you can schedule it as a part of your work day.
