  2. iPhone uses SMS/MMS towards android users because Apple, as a global competitor of Android operating systems and devices, had their own standard. iMessage thru iCloud is considerably more capable than RCS, in not needing carrier implementations, not necessarily needing a carrier at all upon internet connection with an iCloud account, works internationally, even cross platform between different multiple apple devices like Macs and iPads, and just all the other capabilities. RCS isn’t a global standard of texting, SMS/MMS is. – To make it short, RCS is just a knock off version of iMessage that’s been running on Android and now a corporation with different perspective is forced to use it. Everyone should be happy that now you are given better tools to use on either side and stop whining about someone else having their own cool things.

  3. In the end of the day I like apple and am not switching to Samsung because 1 the ecosystem I am into apple ecosystem too much and 2 I tried it and im just too used to apple and I like the cleaner look and hated the Samsung because of it and just the apple apps are so much cleaner imo

  10. The rcs isn't new its been around since around like 2008. It's just that apple refused to use it until now. To keep their blue bubbles and keep out green bubbles. Pretty much segregation

  25. It’s just funny people complaining about RCS and all the android people I know doesn’t even know about it and doesn’t turn it on. And if some of them did turned them on, they complain that if they do most of the messages they didn’t receive. They have to turn it off to receive messages from fellow androids. 🤷‍♀️

  30. I don’t care and if you want apple features so much use an iPhone. Apple should refuse any rcs support and don’t support cross platform features.

  31. It sucks. We can’t text message without internet connection anymore. When towers are down and you don’t have enough for a phone call, you can’t even send an SMS. Maybe it’s not an issue in the US but outside US, I can see potential issues.

  41. one time really long ago my friend sent an 8ball game to me and all it showed me was a jpeg image of the start screen and nothing else😭
