  1. Definitely lucid has the kind of cars I would consider more then teslas cars. More range, nicer interior and better quality overall. When it comes to the driving experience and the outside design look. I don't really like teslas, lucid will do good in the future. 💪⚡🔥💥

  2. The deal-breaker vs Tesla Model S, for me, is the trunk. Lucid's rear seats do not fold. So while I can throw two road bikes in the back of a Tesla, with Lucie you'd need a roof rack for that.

  3. This video nicely highlights how far ahead Tesla is as a business. To succeed, you have to make a car that is priced well and profitable. Tesla does this and that’s why their cars are a bit on the simple/minimalistic side. Tesla has figured out how to make profitable cars. For Lucid to make a car that competes in price, they suddenly can’t compete in quality/features and I doubt they make a profit on this car.

  4. The screen situation in the Lucid is really bad. There’s no good way to watch a movie or share something on a browser or to let your passengers help enter details on the nav. The one large rectangle screen in the middle on a Tesla is so so so much better. I don’t miss Apple CarPlay. When I try it on rental cars, I always have frustrations with it working consistently. I’m content with the normal Bluetooth connectivity in the Tesla and the built-in navigation.

  5. I much prefer Tesla’s touch air vent controls. I get the air exactly where I want it with an easy flick of my finger while my body is still positioned where I’d normally be so I can get it right the first time. With physical air vents, you usually have to lean away from your resting position so it involves some trial and error to get right and you have to do that for each vent. I now hate physical air vents.

  6. Watching from Kenya, no intention of ever buying or driving any high end electric car but it feels good following what y'all got over there.

  7. definetly looks more like a car than a tesla, but the rectractable console screen that you cant make vertical? so its basicly only usefull for controls, so coulde aswell just made normal buttons, and you have to look at the tiny screen to see the map? thats so bad

  8. It's easy to make a good car you list for $250k and lose $250k more every time you are so unlucky to sell one. Lucid is a dead company and has been for years (only Rivian loses more money). They are alive only because their sugardaddy (the Arabs) are so rich they can keep pouring dollars in Lucid until they like. But this is not how reality should work.

  9. Neither. I actually like cars and I especially like driving cars. These are cars are more expensive gadgets for nerds who have done well in their boring software job. Give me something lightweight and nimble that is fun to drive hard at safe speeds on the roads like an MX-5 (or if I have done well in MY boring job, then a Lotus Elise).

  10. This is cool, but they are treating this care as a comparison to the model 3 but $70k isn’t nothing so you should still get the better stuff with that price tag no matter what, a $70k Audi or bmw or Mercedes would be more luxurious, (this is putting reliability to the side lol) but yea price tag is dumb, they need to lower prices more to get more sales and grow more

  11. This seems so much more practical than the Tesla, if only the android pairing and android auto features were up to standard I'd say this is a definitive win compared to the model s (assuming everything Marques said is true)

  12. If i ship marques with a nio et7 in silver colourway and 21inches hub and also happen to have a batteryswap station nearby I'm pretry sure he will not film any of these Tesla and lucid trash

  13. You just took number 2 in the bush didn't you 😀 hahahah i begin to reconsider my "take" on auto focus. Don't quit! Make more hilarious stuff like this. What a joke !!

  14. One thing all Teslas have, that you failed to mention, is that large screen in the middle of the dashboard. When I'm parked and waiting in my car for whatever reason, I can watch something on Netflix, Youtube, etc. This, to me at least, puts the Tesla way ahead of the Lucid and most other EVs… And I hate all those mechanical buttons the Lucid has. I think they are busy and ugly. Sort of reminds me of the iPhone vs. the old Blackberries.

  15. You wanted to drive Fisker out of business because you are friends with Rivian CEO. (That was an awful moment; you flexing you influence to run a company to the ground.)

  16. I definitely want to buy one of these someday… But the missing android auto and the weird wireless charger shape (wouldn't fit my fold) are two things that make me want to wait and hope…

  17. You should do a funky entrance to all your videos.

I’d take the Lucid. It’ll have access to the Tesla charging network next year. I use CarPlay extensively. Model S interiors have always felt cheap to me in comparison to other sedans in the same price range.

  18. for all the car guys who say EV have no soul. the lucid are that personified. they literally look like a soulless appliance. and the still over priced bottom end "luxury" version just looked even more so. sure one out of every 4 cars on the road today is a tesla, which makes their owners furious they aren't special and there for have to go out and wrap them gaudy colors so they can stand out as the speclal snow flakes they are. at least the tesla do actually look kinda cool I'd take a new middle of the road model 3 over ANY lucid. god they are just so un-appealing.

  19. What about 2nd row space between this and Model S. My 2018 Model S 2nd row space is very tight. Also what about real world milage? Tesla's always drive less than milage shown.

  20. I feel like you need to specify when you say Tesla. Lucid only really compares to the model s which most people don’t really buy because the model 3 and Y are a better bargain overall. I think when you compare the lucid to the S you start to see the comparison. I think the Air is a great car overall and definitely another good EV, if lucid wants to be as competitive to Tesla in the market they need more inexpensive options.

  21. The lucid software is glitchy, quirky and infrequently updated. Tesla is what’s known as a software defined vehicle. Even though lucid might’ve spent a lot of time making a nice interior and nice ride, car is missing one of the most important things of an EV which is good software and a company that backs up the software and fixes bugs almost immediately.
