  1. Feels like Apple price + Google bloatware on steroids. And you thought $1000 phones and 60Hz displays in 2024 were bad. Good app to look at, but far from practical. Backdrops, as a wallpaper app, is still more intuitive and competitive.

  2. i have recently started learning UI/UX design for my app,and your explanation how every change you make, makes sense and make it more good, thanks for it, loved the video.❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

  3. WHAT A W TAKE! She not only pointed out the obvious, but also suggested actual ways to make it better – all the while keeping the conversation civil and about the product and not on Marques like a huge portion of the internet has been.

  4. Thing is, there was already an app for wallpapers, and it had suppor for responsive features like reacting to the weather or time of day, app icon packs, lockscreen animations, even just putting a full on stylelized media player. I dont recall the name of it right now, but if I'm gonna pay for a wallpaper I expect at least some more advanced features than what google images provides

  5. It’s just so ODD that someone who’s made a career evaluating technology products reveals themself to have zero clue across so many areas simultaneously. I think that’s why this story has been so jarring and gained so much traction.

  6. Girl you shouldn't do this for free! You are way too good at this to be giving away all these tips! MKBHD should hire you. You basically fixed all its problems, plus, you kinda turned it into a social media platform.

  7. Firstly, @Juxtopposed ALWAYS DESTROYS THESE APPS! Great UI, aesthetic, and common sense design changes! SOMEONE HIRE THIS WOMAN!!!

In other news…. Do people really use apps to find wallpapers? Why pay for a wallpaper app? When did we stop using google images to satisfy our needs, or support your favorite artist and purchase direct from them? These “premium platforms” that just act as a shitty middle man feel weird and leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Also, you’ll spend ages hunting for the “perfect” background only to cover it with app icons and spend all of 30 seconds on your home screen before launching Instagram. Is a fancy wallpaper really worth the time or cost when you barely see it? Seems like buying art just to hide it behind sticky notes.

  8. I've never understood wallpaper apps since you can simply set any picture you like as your wallpaper
I can't imagine anyone would be willing to pay that much just to use normal looking wallpapers, it seems similar to NFTs
Still your design was great, definitely made it look much better!

  9. 12 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR A FUCKING APP FOR WALLPAPERS!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOURE OUT OF YOUR GOD DAMN MIND. ILL GO GENERATE THAT SHIT WITH THE FUCKIN GEMINI OR CHATGPT OR SOMETHING. I HATE THESE BULLSHIT SUBSCRIPTION MODELS. GO FUCK YOURSELF MKBHD.

NICE VIDEO JUXTOPPOSED! YOU DID A GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS REDESIGNING THE APP TO INCLUDE ALOT OF USEFUL AND COOL FEATURES.

HOLY FUCK BUT 12 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR WALLPAPERS!?!??!?!! NO. NO.
