  1. I have some questions. Would you say the Pixel fold is more useful than the Pixel 9 XL if you stream a lot of video and movies on your phone? The other question is, will apps and videos evolve to be full screen, or will it always be a large part of the screen that is black

  2. The pixel fold 9 pro or what it's called looks very old compared to the samsung fold 5 and 6. Keeping that in mind, even tho Imo chinese folds dont look as modern as the S fold 6, they are noticably thinner so the pixel fold cant compare in looks nor in tech. It's the worst of all worlds.

  3. I dont think no one has mentioned how the speakers are mounted in a good way. Their on both side of the phone. I noticed this with my wife's pixel 9 pro fold. So now there is a true left and right when watching videos on the inner screen. It centers the sound when watching content, unlike my fold 6, which is all on the cover screen side, which makes them all on the left when open. Until you turn the phone to landscape.

  4. So I decided to take the risk and got my Pixel 9 Fold. So yes it does feel kinda like a phone in a case. So it's not bad size wise. BUT it's also heavy and you do feel the weight. I do wish it was lighter but Im ok with the size while holding it closed which is why I decided to go for it in the first place.

Do wish the outer screen kinda went up to the hinge more like the OnePlus or Z Fold 6. It definitely is little awkward because its so assymetrical.

I am getting a Thinborne case with magnets. Lining this up for wireless charging is a pain. I kinda have to prop mine up to get it to charge wirelessly. Google did a poor job it seems considering wireless charging in the 9 series it seems. Seems all the phones have issues because of strangely placed coils plus the camera bump…but the Fold exacerbates the problem. I dont have magsafe accessories so I will be investing in those.

My first foldable and so far it has been a mixed bag. Having access to a bigger screen always is nice. But honestly so far hasn't been mind-blowing. Mostly use for media content so far. Using apps side by side still feels weird, I forget some times its an option.

Havent used the cameras a lot. But I actually think they are good so far but Im coming from a 7 Pro. All I wanted was a similar enough experience and I think they are quite good. Doesn't seem like a drop off from a top camera from two generations ago. Maybe not top notch for current phones but if youre upgrading from something a little older like most consumers don't think it'll be a drop off in your camera. Battery life so far better than I expected.

So far my big nags are wireless charging and weight. The weight is easier to accept but wireless charging is something Google should have figured out and is an issue. This should be compatible with most chargers out there without having to rig things…or make Qi2 and obviously promote that. They did neither.

That and after about a week I'm not sure Im convinced foldables are that much of an upgrade.

Im hoping to love it more with time.

  5. Pics on the fold is as good as the photographer can take a pic. I have a pixel fold and i am having no issues with regular degular pics. Donā€™t worry about being a professional photographer with this phone or any phone.
