Too bad they waited until after launching 3 different Pixel phones to change the fingerprint sensor. There were clearly issues since the Pixel 6 especially when using a screen protector.
I believe screenshots app will merge with keep app and personally I would love this new app!
If video performance (especially on lower light) isn't improved on the 9 series, im going to stick with my 7 Pro.

Disagree with the trade-in deals. At least at Best Buy. If you trade in an S24-Ultra, Best Buy gives you $1,099 for it towards the P9Pro XL. You pay around $80 after trade-in. PLUS a $200 gift card.

Also, i'm glad there were flaws during the live presentation. Im glad Google were ok with it too because thats the way of the world, especially with generative AI in phones being so new, it is still very much in its experimental phase really

I paid for Gemini Advanced yesterday and I'm getting a lot of nothing. I took a picture and asked Gemini Advanced to improve it, it says it can't do that. It seems like I'm asking a lot of basic things that it cannot do. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro. Also, I wish there was a way to reduce the chattiness. Some people are trying to get things done and don't need a history of the world before they get their information.

The Pixel 9 is bumped up in storage as well, no one is mentioning that.
Even tho the phones look great… I'm still hesitant about the Tensor chip. But I'm gonna try it out and see how it does. But I'm still pretty stoked with TSMC taking over developing the Tensor chip. Giving how they have developed Snapdragon and Apple's silicon.
The advent of AI in tech events has killed the excitement for any hardware launches because of how much companies dedicate time into it. At this point, Google Assistant is superior to Gemini and every other phone assistant. Idgaf about hearing about half-baked, inferior assistants. I just see AI as a gimmick.

I think I would use 'add me' as I do alot of hiking and find it hard to get me and my wife in a good landscape picture using a selfie. But i plan on getting the 9 pro XL so will see if i do use it

google has to come up with add me feature because it’s insanely awkward to hand a pixel phobe to someone in the us and no one knows how to take a picture on it
In fairness to Google the combination of Android and Gemini is pretty big and if some of the features are as good as they demo then I think it’s a good leap forward. Great hardware without great software is useless.
