Community notes is a very good thing and might be additive to the dislike button that most people do not see anymore.
As for Adobe, just use Affinity Designer instead. No big ecosystem around it but not as buggy and scammy at least.
I also hope that Final Cut will not get a subscription otherwise… 😅

I find this funny…. I come from a long time of almost exclusively investment and comedy YouTube content for years and the comment sections are always filled with intentional and unintentional unhinged insanity … comments here and this podcast vibe is like a calm summer breeze. I say that as a great compliment. I really like this show.

When I went to cancel my Adobe subscription I just swapped to another plan and then was allowed to cancel that one because it was within the refund period.

I am a professional photographer in Argentina and we love the yearly suscription here! Ive had the suscription to the photography pack for 6 years now, it was 10usd but they charged it in my local pesos currency when i signed up. Adobe didn't seem to be aware of the crazy inflation in my country and how the dollar value goes up. and lucky for me, they renewd every year, mantaining the price in Pesos. Imagine 6 years ago a dollar was 8 pesos, now it's 1400, jeje. And my visa converts the charge in pesos to usd in the balance. So I went from paying 10 usd to 8 dollar cents last month! Now I also got the all apps pack and it's really cheap here! 3 usd a month and they promised to keep the price for a year, that is crazy here. I guess they do it that way because I once heard that this was one of the top countries of pirated adobe products some years ago, hehe. At least now they get paid something. And it's so worth it with all the updates with AI and new tools. Real time saver for photo editing!

adobe made an exception for me, i dont know if its this way normally but you could ONLY sign up for the year with the student discount. I paid a few month without using it maybe at all then tried to cancel, after contacting support they allowed me to end my subscription.
