  1. u nailed it on the part that if this came out before the first smartphone it definitely would have done better… this thing has no place whatsoever in the modern human lifestyle… it lacks a lot of things that modern humans need… if u have a problem being present in the real world it could only be solved by uninstalling the apps on the phone that u already have and not by buying an entirely new product with a monthly subscription 🙃🙃🙃

  2. Just making the device fully connected to your phone would have made it very powerful and capable.
its what the scifi stuff is about, like tricoder in star trek. LIke you said, the idea is great but the execution poor

  3. If I was blind, I would buy this. There are instances when being told what is in front of you could really increase quality of life. Sure, you probably know what cereal is in your cupboard (and maybe added brail tags), but having a new room described to you could be really helpful. Or an outdoor space.

  4. I envision that this device will soon be attached to cars, for heads-up display and all of cars control to truly become hands free. And the greedy car companies will love the subscription plans.

  5. Not only do you have to pay to keep it going. You also have to trust the company supports it as long as you want to use it. You pay 700 $ to be allowed to subscribe to a service which can shut down at any time.
    You own nothing…

  6. I absolutely agree with everyone else in the comment section, Arun. You've met with the CEO, but you're still brutally honest about how trash this product is. Basically it's still in Alpha, essentially. It doesn't look like it's ever been put to a small testing group to see what they think before releasing it. I thoroughly enjoyed how honest this review was. I enjoy watching the reviews of both you, and Mr Mobile, Michael Fisher, because of your honesty.

  7. Hey, Aran I was actually coding a voice assistant and it used the gpt api aswell and unfortunately it just takes a while to send and receive requests so those were also issues I ran into

  8. No matter how much you sugarcoat it, the fact is that tech reviewers today are like a cabal who will go after young companies with full guns blazing with the intent to destroy the product, or the company as they do not fear any repercussions from the company. I dare any of these guys to make a similar video about an Apple, or Samsung product and see how their lives turn out after that.

Marques has openly admitted that he collaborates with other 'tech' reviewers to check if they have the same views about products, and he had done the same while reviewing this product. I'd say stop pretending that you don't know you have the power to influence and you don't misuse it sometimes.

  9. the idea is good, they took the Star Trek badge communicator, and tried to expand on its function… and i am certain, in 10 years and another 3 generations and fixing stuff that needs to be fixed, this could be a great product. but right now, this is not yet the product it should be, its clear that its a first generation product, well more like a Beta version. but they tried to do something new, and for a first attempt, its not surprising that its not yet there.. if they can survive… and can do the 10 years and 3 generations, i will be hyped to get the 5th generation version, cos at that time this could be all things it promises now and more, but cant do.

  10. Honestly I don’t see why people are upset with the negative reviews. It isn’t a good product right now; that’s a fact.

What these reviews do is provide a lot of publicity for a product and company that may have not gotten much, and also provides genuine feedback for the company to take on board for the future.

  11. I have the same reflection without testing it. Nice idea and I also like the thought behind it, but the next big thing is smart glasses that can replace monitors and have a form factor that is not massive.

  12. They should reengineer it to be an A.I. hub that's an extension of your phone, tablet or computer. It would be more useful as a way to interact with your device without interacting with your device. Have most of the a.i. live on device and have it pair with your device thru Bluetooth or hotspot so you don't have to waste money on a another subscription.
