The low frame rate on the camera does 2 things, it's clearer in dark environments because of low frame rate, the sensor has more time to gather light, and the biggest one is it discourages you from relying on it to drive. A backup camera is an aid to help keep you from bumping stuff, you're not supposed to stare at it while backing up, you're supposed to use your mirrors like "back in the day"
To be honest, this is the first EV I’ve seen in a while that actually looks like a car inside. Computer controls should be secondary in my opinion.
I come back here when heard that abt 80% of comments here are positive for VF. Actually not 80%, but many. I think that is good sign for a good newcoming ev brand. They will go faster than almost people think. If they can control their expanding, i think that's good for them, and for all consumers.
As someone who's been driving a base model car from 2010 for the past 12 years, I have a very different perspective. I was very impressed with this car most of the way through the video. Almost every complaint he has either didn't register to me as a problem at all or I just don't care about. Plastic panels? My car has worse. Gotta press a button to unlock? Honestly that's how I prefer it. Heated and ventilated seats in front and back is awesome, you almost never see that. A terrible UI in the car? It has Android Auto, and a backup camera, so it's already a massive upgrade over what I got.
Honestly this video sold me on this car as a good budget option, with no real significant downsides (for me), until he said it cost $50,000. I was assuming this was a budget car so it was more affordable. Suddenly those minor nitpicks and complaints seem more reasonable for such an expensive car.
there is nothing wrong with a colorful looking car infotainment system. We need to stop normalizing the anti human, dull , and minimalist look that is being pushed by society.
Marques doesn't know that VF8's selling price is much cheaper than its listing price. VF8's lease is just 249$/month , 0 down with option to buy for 19,000$ after 3 years lease. It makes less than 30,000$.
I am a Vietnamese, but I will never dare to buy a car from Vinfast, but motorbikes can be experienced.

These are vehicles that cost multiple tens of thousands of dollars for the buyers and billions of dollars in R&D and production.
If they are not at least on par with the market or in some sense fulfilling a market niche, they won't exist in a couple of years.
He is just talking about a car in a real sense. He is the least of any car companies problems. These companies had to make a great product yesterday to survive.
