  1. A big resounding no ! Shelling out over $80-$90+ in Canadian dollars for starters. The mileage sucks and its even worse by at least 30% in the winter time . Now, after a few years on the market the consumer can see that EVs are great in a city but charging has proven to be difficult and unreliable along with crazy long charge times .Thus adding a huge amount of time to travel any distance .I have also seen far too many nightmare stories about issues cropping up and car being in minor fender bender and being written off because they cost more to repair than the original price ! And if they are fixable good luck getting anything fixed anytime soon because parts have to be shipped from over seas.
Now the used car market for used EVs has gone to hell because these vehicles can lose over 40% of their original price because few people want to buy a used EV .
I'm all for an Ev that can deliver at least 800 miles per charge and I know that there are new battery techs coming up but those high prices are going to lead to fewer sales a lot fewer.

  2. When eill you see the savings over combustion engines when youre payimg over 70k for an EV? I still wont oay over 30k for an ev. Don't get me wrong, i think they are the coolest vehicles hands down and i want an Ionic 5 for the generator capabilities.

  3. My last 3 cars have been KIA's. I've driven a Telluride since 2020. 2years ago I put a down payment for a R1S – Back in August 2023 I started hearing about a KIA EV based loosely on the Telluride platform called the EV9, But was still set on the Rivian R1S,. Rivian was suppose to roll off the assembly line by 2023… but was taking longer and longer. Started hearing more about the EV9 fall of 2023. Took back my deposit for my R1S. They were taking too long to get my configuration off the assembly line. 3 weeks ago I bought my EV9 GT and loving it. Glad you're letting more folks know about KIA. as Hancock would say… "Nice Job".

  4. Very nice SUV……but that Lucid Gravity beats it on range. But Kia's been around longer and has some solid options and I believe they warranty their battery for 10 years which is 2 years more than the industry standard. I'm interested to see this go head to head with the Rivian, The Lucid and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 7.

  5. I got my driver's license like 3 years ago and haven't driven since, so having a + and – indicators would be very useful for me to remind me which pedal is what.

  6. I would be curious to know the reasons for the difference in efficiency from car to car on EV battery/usage. Is it the motors they are using? Simply aerodynamics? Battery chemistry?

  7. This is a lot like my Telluride. And I love it. I would guess that you can get real Napa Leather like you can add to the Tellurides

  8. 75,000 dollars for any family car is obscene. After five-seven years, these may retain 20-25 percent of their value the way things are going. That’s depreciation that takes more than an average family’s disposable income during ownership. Add interest and other costs to that and you need not wonder what the future of motoring is. I don’t personally see any longevity in EVs, they are just a tool to undermine all types of motoring.

  9. If companies don't want to make an ev minivan, fine. But can we ATLEAST get some sliding doors already?! Doors too large to fit into a tight spot? Sliding doors are too easy, let's remote control the car to go in and out.

  10. I do not understand this narrative of Minivans as cars that are only practical and no one „really“ likes. Only moms drive Minivans. That sounds very misogynist to me, especially when you contrast that with truck commercials.
Why can’t you like a car for being practical? Why do we always need an emotional connection towards cars? Car company advertising did a great job here. Could it be because most cars make for a terrible buy if you look at them from a rational standpoint?

  11. I LOVE the "power only" USB feature. Every time I charge the phone in my Volvo I have to jump through these hoops "oh, no, I don't want the cable as the audio output, keep the bluetooch connection to my kids phones". Kudos
