Yow mark…. Wats up with the new iOS update 17 since I updated the volume upo and down tends not to work while in some apps like if I’m in WhatsApp watching a video and want to control the volume it does nothing till I go out to like home page then it works , even whilst using Apple Music ! You see these people at Apple are not serious all thy did was Halloween nonsense and mess up the software instead of giving new iMacs thy trying to be funny with their m3 nonsense lineup and ugly colorful iMacs 😂 tell them DB said thy must get serious. All thy way from Africa 😂
I'm deciding on a Lenovo ThinkPad or Macbook Pro M2, the deal breaker will be RAM minimums for Dj'ng on Serato DJ Pro
Anyone don't like the Space Black and are going for the Silver?
Marques, you are definitely the epitome of being satisfied with what you have and not wasting money on something you don’t. Kudos to you man. I’m looking at getting a M3 Pro 16” MBP but it will be my first M Series laptop.
B&H Photo has the 16” M1Max for $1600 off 🎉
the bongo revelation
00:03 Review of the new Space Black MacBook Pro 01:20 The new chip and color may not be enough individually, but combined they make the upgrade worthwhile. 02:25 The Space Black MacBook Pro is not significantly different from the previous model. 03:34 MKBHD cancels his order for the M1 MacBook Pro 04:33 MacBook Pro vs MacBook Air 05:31 The new update for Final Cut Pro on iPad adds useful new features but still lacks support for plugins. 06:37 Disappointing update for Final Cut on iPad 07:51 Increasing the number of Bongos per second affects the clarity of each Bongo.
Hope to see a long term review on m1 max
Still really happy with my MacBook Air M1
I could hear the bongo at 120.
My favorite part was the bongo demo 🤟🏻
I am using a M1 Max MBP and it's still a very powerful machine, perfectly capable to do everything I need, even the most demanding tasks. For sure M3 Max is more powerful, however I don't feel that it's worth the upgrade. Finally, I really don't know if anyone can tell the differences between the two models in real life use. Maybe only a few professionals who use very heavy applications, although I think they too will have to look hard to find them.
I recently bought a brand new MBP M1 Max 16” 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD for $2,999 at B&H. This machine is a beast and it was almost $2k discount from when it first came out.
Bongos.
Why can't they just get people to return their mbps and have the new innards swapped out with the new M3 chip? It's the same darn chassis right same display, same ports ???? Why do they keep saying recycled when that makes more carbon in the atmosphere, how do they expect to reach their so called imaginary goal ?
Is it too fantastical to suggest what I suggested to just swap out all the innards in an otherwise it's the same chassis as the M1's and M2's?
Love the hertz demonstration at the end 😂
Agree, the M1 is SUCH A leap that the M2/M3 look small. Of course they are good upgrades, but most people can skip them 🙂 I'm skipping it as well
There are pulsars the size of city blocks at that bongo rpm and more
You can't hear below 20hz but you will feel it. But you're confusing notes with frequency there. Quarter notes, 8th, 16ths and 32nd etc. Not sure what you're on about with "can't hear pulses as a solid tone under 20hz" though. That's nonsensical. Your bongo demo is just notes and notes at a very high frequency at that. Nowhere near 20hz. And it's all kind of stupid anyway because you don't have speakers that can go down to 20hz reliably. That kind of thing costs a lot of money. 15 to 20k USD thereabouts. Your whole house would shake if you could reproduce 20hz at say 85dB reliably.
Perfect upgrade for me as I was rocking a 2017 iMac that was definitely slowing down big time as well as a 2018 iPad Pro which now I’m out of college no need for this mobile huge tablet on the go.
The M3 Pro may be slight overkill for me but I have a fantastic machine for the next 8 years
MKBHD is gonna get our M1 Max chips nerfed.
bongo thing was sick
who cares?
Came here for the bongos 🎉
That moment someone has your entire life savings mapped out for a MacBook
truly 1st world problems🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who knew that when the one part of your laptop that can’t be meaningfully upgraded right now (the chip) is the only part that gets upgraded, nobody wants to buy it.
I am still on my i7 that I maxed out and I still find it hard to justify the cost of a new laptop – and the "Apple Black" was a selling point, but having seen it… it's not black in any colour spectrum… I am possibly going to wait for a refurbished model….
For audio production, the performance increase is quite significant. As always, it depends on each user case.
Please Compare Final Cut vs CapCut
I bought the midnight MacBook air M2 and I regret my color choice a lot. I'm the type of person who dislikes fingerprints on the computer, and my solution was to put a case on my MacBook… A CASE ON A LAPTOP!! So yes, color choice is crucial.
I did get the 14' M2 pro base and using it since for iOS development and this machine is just fire.
Having a device that does AV1 hardware decoding has hardware accelerated ray tracing and mesh shaders. Is quite important for the futereproofing I believe which is why im waiting to buy an iPad pro for the M3. Also want to buy a MacBook but think i’ll wait for the M4 hope it gets AV1 encoding or H266 VVC decoding or/and encoding and maybe wifi 7. Or like OLED or Micro-LED screen but that probably asking way to much haha idk we’ll see 😆
I only just subscribed for the bongos 🪘🪘🪘
MKBHD's decision to cancel his order for the Space Black MacBook Pro raises an interesting point about the incremental nature of tech upgrades. He highlights that the new chip and color weren't compelling enough reasons for him to upgrade from his current model. This brings up a broader question: In an era where tech products are frequently updated, how do we determine when an upgrade is truly worthwhile? Is it more about significant technological leaps, or do aesthetic changes also play a crucial role in our decision-making? How do you personally decide when it's time to upgrade your tech gadgets?
Today, most computers are fast enough, but people forget is more important to get a fast Internet service together with the latest wifi because most of our future computing is cloud base like AI cloud software, All Adobe apps, have built in AI Which requires high speed Internet then getting the latest computer
props for the mic and the constant branding evolution, headphones next?

8:35 I was ready for the drop
Still rocking the Macbook Pro 13" 2012 edition. Works fine 🙂
