We need folding tablets đ đ đ đ đ đ
Whatâs it going to take for people to start using foldable phones? As a consumer and my personal opinion. I am waiting until Apple does it. Then I will probably consider it at that time.
For the price of 1.8 I don't want to baby it like crazy and worry about dead pixels in 3 weeks, durability and all that
this comment will get pinned
Yeah, price is definitely the biggest barrier for me. I buy used phones because I'm so cheap. I don't think all the phones I've ever bought for myself combine to $1700…. so yeah… once there's a really durable foldable that costs around $200-$300 at a year or two old, I might consider it.
This is the first foldable passport phone that looks like a finished product..( I am not including the flip phones, those are alreaady good), before this every other phone with this form factor either looked cumbersome, or unrefined or having a bad form factor.
If I wanted a big folding device, Iâd have gotten this but Iâm very happy with my Razr 40 Ultra.

Still too pricy for Canadian market at 1,999 plus tax
I just pre-ordered mine
Cant use a stylus
Price and durability are two major issues with phones today.
If the phone does not survive regular use without a case (that includes dropping the phone once in a while) the phone is not well enough designed.
I also don't see myself paying more than 500$ for a phone, because why should I? A high end "mid range" phone can be had for 200-500$ and give 95% of the same user experience as a phone that cost 2 to 3 times as much.
Man this looks so nice

Looks like a great phone but you nailed it on 3 points, that's what gets me. Reliability will NEVER be the same because of the mechanical action and hinge. And the usage for me doesn't justify. Either I can do it on the phone or I need a computer (to code, for example). The mic sounds professional indeed. If you didn't tell, I'd think this was your regular pro mic hahaha
Man, once you pointed out those dead pixels, I had to go back in the video to see if they were there the whole time lmao! That's crazy
Samsung started it folding smartphones đ đ đ đ đ
Wow!!! It's so cool bro!!!
When Poco release a folding phone (with a Pocoish price range) that is when I will buy one. Price is king.
Even as a dirty iPhone user. If Apple makes a foldable phone, I still wonât buy one. I am an IT professional and PC gamer who loves tinkering with computer and networking technology, but the one device I donât want to tinker with and need to work is my smart phone. That is why I always be an apple sheepel when it comes to the smartphone game.
It's going to take years for the general masses to adapt to foldables.
People don't like z fold 5 outer display but as a previous owner of an experia z5 iv i think is the best format for me. I hope they keep it for z6 or at least make two models.
For several reasons, I feel that Apple should enter this market.
The price is whatâs stopping me.
Never going to happen, why would I want a huge chunky phone in my pocket. I can do everything I want on my current phone
OnePlus…. Another One. They should do marketing with dj Khaled.
Wait until Apple makes it and Marques will be singing prises about folding phones and how they are the pinnacle of tech and everyone should get it…Stooge
The OnePlus Open is cool and all really it is but I'm here to see if we can hit the links before the weather breaks here in Jersey! That TaylorMade hoodie is đĨ âŗđđŋ
I'm going to sound like a butthurt Samsung fan but im not. Seriously, i use an iPhone. But this phone is not first gen fold. Samsung is the one who mainstreamed foldable and developed it so much, This phone for example is a repackaged Oppo fold 3. so clearly not first gen. Even Oppo had a real folding phone in their hand before launching their own. They had something, a reference. This exact same thing will happen to iPhone/iPad fold as well when it launches 4-5 years later. Big shot youtubers will label it as "Its only first gen and they got so much right, look at Samsung 1st gen fold, it was a disaster". You can see him calling this first gen done right at 0:13
You can also see him comparing early models of folding phones to this phone at 2:38 . Is it fair comparing 2 phones 3-4 years apart
I want to find out why you and other well known youtubers abandon reviewing Xiaomi what is going on?
A dead pixel 3 weeks into ownership is the main reason I won't get a foldable yet… and the price.
I think what'll be needed for folding phones to become more common is for there to be a folding phone under $1k without a ton of compromises.
That hoodie is SICK. Can we get an MKBHD themed Stealth???
I'd love a folding phone, but I'm not made of money.
Aka my next phone! Flagship killer!
