I bet the percentage of new iPhone 15 owners who do not already own USB C powered devices is incredibly small. It's an already well established ubiquitous standard. I'm a iPhone user and I have more than 10 devices with a USB C port, including a MacBook. Very different from the transition from 30 pin to Lightning.
If 5x is 120 mm full frame equivalent, how do we expect 15x to even be a thing? It boggles the mind to think that phones are getting into the big white glass region. I’m still amazed that phone photos are as good as they are now.
Pretty sure that you can invite anyone to Family sharing and share your iCloud as long as they have an Apple ID. They don’t exactly check anything. Unless you say it’s a child then you have to put in their birthdate.

All nest hubs has that same presence sensor. Google just do basic things with it, like if you're playing music and move away the controls go away and reappear when you come back.

I actually bought an Eve V back in 2017. It took months to get and then it wasn't as good as a surface pro but it was cheaper and some advantages. An interesting thing about the Eve V was that the keyboard was poorly designed to the point that it would break from regular use. I ended up with 3 replacement keyboards in addition to the one it came with and they all broke. Another community member ended up offering to solder fix it and I ended up with a mostly working one.
In regards to the company itself, I was actually found myself on a "exclusive" members discord server, where they wanted to get further input from dedicated members. That ended up being useless because they didn't ask us for input as much as told us what they were going to do minutes before announcing it in the community channel, so that was also kind of weird.
Finally, regarding refunds. I actually had a deposit on a monitor in like 2020 which I got refunded in 2 months, it was like $100. But the whole system they have is super suspicious. You need to place a deposit to lock in your price and it's refundable. Which sounds fine except, like you mentioned, they don't refund you or make it difficult, and the windows for the refunds are coincidentally out of the window of the most credit card fraud claims. The whole company kind of sucks, which really sucks because they have some cool ideas and cool people in the community want it to work and contribute a lot. I wish I knew sooner how this would all play it with them, so that instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt and defending them, that I could agree with those who were warning others more.
