6. Neither of them should be dunking on GIMP or any other free programs. They work really well and are fantastic tools for those who can't afford the obscenely expensive (and predatory honestly) programs like Adobe.

29. This insight is so incredibly important for those of us trying to start creating. Thanks so much for sharing! Also love how most of Tim's input is how each edit made him feel. Its not all about the data or the analytics; even talented pros like Tim have moments of self doubt which is so reassuring to hear.

31. Im a designer and on a serious note, i prefer MKBHD orginal thumbnail done by the boss himself. I find marques goes for a clean and minimal aesthetic all the time. For me personally, i remember the older thumbnails more than the newer ones. Newer ones are nice but i see the marques designs are easily identifiable and less chaotic and simpler to understand. And i really miss him doing that too.

32. It's crazy that Marques was making thumbnails in GIMP! I use that for all of my thumbnails and although some things aren't accessible from PS, it's still a reliable software I'd recommend!
