  1. Those many times I stopped at Best Buy and checked out that mobile device. I remember wanting the Essential phone because of its stylish and clean look – both software and hardware. I also remember thinking about how no other phone looked so elegant. It had good specs in its day. I always thought it would thrive as a new company.

  2. 3:45 I'm not really into crypto either, but Solana (along with Cardano and Ethereum) is one of the better crypto out there, because they use proof of stake, unlike bitcoin which use proof of work

proof of work: need a strong computer which use a lot of energy (detrimental for the earth and annoying for designer and gamer who need graphic cards)
proof of stake: not a race of who has the strongest computer but rather who stake the most money (so it only need a normal computer)

  3. I adored my Essential PH1 and used it until it was extremely old and outmoded. It's a shame this cool team has been saddled with the crypto disease.

  4. So… this phone. Bought it, use it. It’s a crypto phone. Compare to regular phone this is actually very useful. Better than regular android phone. In sense of what i need for crypto use. I don’t trade. I use it for crypto games. So it’s kinda asking a high school student reviewing race car. Different market

  5. Hey Marques, worth mentioning as well that the so-called privacy cable is a super expensive cable in search of a problem. It's $30 for USB 2.0 and protects against juice jacking attacks that have never been identified in the wild. It's a nice idea, but definitely not worth it, especially because devices won't share data over USB C without it being explicitly enabled either, like for file sharing or via adb.

  6. I bought this phone day 1
Came with a free NFT and the sold the NFT for the same price I bought the phone for
    Sooo it was free ❤🎉
Of course the normies wouldn’t bother to look into it and just talk crap right away because “crypto”

  7. Problem: The phone is from a new company and has very niche features
Solution: Release it from another new company, and give it more niche features.

  8. One company must make 100% profit. A colab of two companies must make 200% profit. Colab products rarely make fiscal sense outside of the enthusiast market.
