  1. Quantity over quality. Why the heck would I care about 1000 planets? Id be happy if we had 10 to max 50 planets to visit, and we get a quality game with a great story. Feel like I need to play fallput 4 again.

  2. If you’ve enjoyed any other Bethesda RPG (The Elder Scrolls/Fallout) then you’ll definitely enjoy Starfield. I played it knowing the Creation Engine has its limitations, and I’m having a blast and it definitely seems like the kind of game we’ll be playing for the next decade.

  3. Anyone play Freelancer back in the day? That game was criticised, particularly for the late game storyline, but the opening had me hooked. I felt it did a good job of balancing space exploration with a compelling near-future setting, and liked that it drew on real-world countries to give a grounded identity to the various factions and solar systems.
The look of the space combat in this has me hoping it's as satisfying as Freelancer, and I feel like I might enjoy getting similarly sidetracked in this.

  4. The bad things you say about this game is so bare minimum that will be fixed and improved and I’m excited! This game is amazing can’t wait for all the support for this game

  5. The reaction to Starfield feels like a new iPhone. Yes, it's a marvel of technology and design, but it is similar enough to its predecessor that not everyone will fully appreciate it. This game looks like a blast and I give huge props to Bethesda for trying a new IP.

Keep in mind – Fallout and Elder Scrolls didn't get good until their third or fourth iteration.

  6. Well let's see what Starfield improves on compared to other space/big ship flight games apart from the standard Bethesda gameplay:
❌ Choices & consequences in an RPG (Mass Effect)
❌ Interaction with intelligent alien races (Mass Effect)
❌ Seamless landing on planets (No Man's Sky)
❌ Land vehicles for exploration (Star Citizen)
❌ Seamless docking in space (X3/X4)
❌ Seamless moving between planets in a simulates star system (Outer Wilds)
❌ Getting out out of your ship and wandering in space (Prey 2017)
    ❌ Simulated economy (Elite Dangerous)
❌ Manually landing your ship to get a sense of weight of what you've built (Highfleet)
…But hey, dogfights! They have the bare minimum, guys. And that's enough for a game to have an 88% Metacritic score nowadays. I don't care whose "exclusive" that game is, what a joke of a title 🤡🤡🤡

  7. Come on, we all knew this was going to be bland and empty. If this is the result of a year's worth of 'polish' then I have very little hope for improvement. See you in a few years at sale.

  8. Another Bethesda game filled with lifeless-looking puppet people staring deadly into your eyes in a straight-on, center camera shot. Even if you put aside how soulless their character models continue to look, they also seem to be unaware that other developers have found ways to spice up (visually speaking) dialogue and quest giving sequences. These are some of the things that make modern games feel modern, and make Starfield feel like something from the 360/PS3 era.

  9. First of all: Don't give a 5 or 6 game a 7 to be nice.

Secondly, TNG had the right approach to SciFi fantasy: At first things seem weird or supernatural – But Starfleet is curious, deductive and inquisitive – eventually most lifeforms and space phenomena can be explained by rational means (barring Q, depending on your religious/metaphysical beliefs/theories). Starfleet seems to just ask for suspension of disbelief without giving the proper context (magic in good fantasy is always bound in some kind of energy and/or knowledge of the world, as an example).

  10. This review was much better than IGNs. The reviewer here shows you gameplay from the beginning to the end and says whats good but then explains in detail what was bad/disappointing and why in detail. The IGN review is awful and poorly worded in comparison.

  11. Skyrim gave me a sense of wonder and a yearning for exploration than starfield. Here we have entire solar systems to visit, but with less diversity than Tamriel.

  12. I know a lot of hours days months years go into making a video game so great job Bethesda on this title but moving forward character design doesn't feel modern for me. Just make a new Wolfenstein ill buy it

  13. The X series of games used portals that you had to fly to in order to jump to other sectors. Starfield at least should've incorporated this.

  14. Let’s be honest here guys if this was a Sony exclusive this would get a 100/10 hands down but since is Microsoft it gets a 7 Sony send their pay checks to this company’s and I don’t trust them but me ima give you my honest review this game is fun and I give it a solid 10 graphics are good you do a lot just like Skyrim fallout I know many Sony siduvoye are gonna agreed with the review because they are mad they ain’t getting the game so they are happy with the score but they will find out that they lie to them when they see the videos gameplay etc 😂 so lets all enjoy tje game space men’s let’s fly and explore the galaxy coz this game is fun as f

  15. How is a bland game a 7? What makes this game stand out from average games? The shipbuilding so that you can use your ship and fly around in a tiny spacebox?

Spent 25 hours or so, struggle to even play it but.. easy 6/10 😀 once im done with the campaign i will uninstall and my hype for the next Elder Scrolls died with this badboy.
