I got mine yesterday, and I'm test driving it. I'm thinking about doing a day in the life or reviewing it. This is my first flip, and honestly, I really think it's the dust that's hurting the screens of the phones and not the flipping/folding.
Shout out to the hingineers
Can't you even use GoodLock to use any app you want on the outside screen?
I like how the Mopto Razr+ allows any app on the outer screen without needing an app. I used that phone for about a month and a half.
Yeah we need to talk about reddit atrocities
Am I the only one who gets the big wall of text when I turn on Subtitles in the beginning of the video?
Not a fan and OMG that absolutely annoying crease at 1:21 no….just no! That phone unfolded is no bigger that the iPhone 14 Pro Max as far as screen size and at least with iPhone you have no crease!
10:00 Is it just me or the sound is a tiny bit out of sync?
Honestly feels like Samsung wasn't happy with the first video and you got paid to sell the good parts of the phone. Don't get me wrong, I love the channel and have been watching your amazing content for years but this one just felt off.
Could we get a Motorola razor plus and flip 5 comparison please?
I liked the idea that you expressed in your Motorola review. For me the main point of having a flip phone is to reduce your time using the phone. anything urgent you can see on the outside display, and for everything else you have to make a conscious decision to open the phone and engage with it. Having a (basically) fully functioning screen in a folded state destroys that idea
0:01 I’ve literally rewatched this intro for more than 10 time now, and I still can’t understand what’s going on there. What? How’s that even possible 🤯
the only benefit I can really see is being able to use the main camera as a selfie. otherwise, a regular phone will let you do everything the "exterior screen" lets you do, but on a BIGGER screen. do peopl really rather have a lump in their pocket vs flatter oblong shape that fits nicely into deeper pockets?
Flip it away!
Battery is why I skipped. Flip batteries have been miserable this one will be no different. Gen 2 ain't saving it. If they would've at least made it 45w charging I would've been on it
Does he not know about Swype?
Hey why does your T-Shirt say 30 FPS now?… You said it was 24 FPS….Earlier
I think it does this review a big disservice when MKBHD doesn't mention that Motorola has come out with the new razr+ that does everything that the Galaxy flip does. To me it really takes me out of the review when you say this is the most capable outside cover when the razr's cover is just as capable.
Hey Marques, what happen with the reparability issue in the companys?, that comitment that you did in the past year with the fairphone 4, nice day bro
Flip phones 😢
Love a satisfying clap of the cheeks, too, Marques!
Not a fan of foldable (yet) but I appreciate the finger-print sensor a lot!
RIP Boosted board in the background
A flipping phone you say.
As someone that owns a Z-Flip 3 I'm underwhelmed by these upgrades. The bigger front-screen and the better chip is nice and all. However, I see the same issue with this one as I did the 4 and the 3… the interior screen. I'm, by no means, and "aggressive" user on my phone, however I've have to replace the screen TWICE since I've had it. They crease badly after 4 or so months of use, so much so that the center of your phone is nearly unusable. IMO, Samsung needs to work on the durability of their folding screens before I return to a foldable phone.
no dex sadly
So I’ve been wrong for two weeks now…
It's been a while since you've showcased a budget smartphone, could you do a video on the state of budget smartphones currently, because the other half of your mantra, "cheap phones are getting good", is slowly perishing as even budget phones are getting more expensive.
Trash screen. Don't buy that. Less than a year from now, the screen will be completely ruined. It's plastic…just don't.
So the front big screen of the new flip..is the same thing I will do with an apple watch? Anyone ?
