3. In the midst of all the chaos the government has handed over the case to CBI which has no business here. This was clearly a classic case of negligence as has been seen in govt sector for the past decades. CBI probe will simply misrepresent the investigation that a more competent authority like railway board SIT could have done. This does not stink of terrorism either state sponsored or foreign ones. God help the people who have suffered and their families.

29. How can the train "take wrong line". The Loco pilot doesn't decide the track,the motor operated track junction does,which IS OPERATED BY SIGNAL CABIN.

    Also,you don't do 130kmph mps on Loop line,that would either mean the Loco pilot was on drugs as well as assistant Loco pilot.

    I heard from another source which is more likely authentic to the real incident,Coromondal Express was on main line and was on right track,it accelerated to 130 only to find a goods train parked on main line. You should also note,you can't brake a train from 130,if you see an object nearby. All of which indicate Corrupted Signaling which aided to this disaster

As per reports there was a circuit issue on tracks which led to malfunctioning of signal, the train while shifting from the joint got a wrong green signal and so the train exited the joint with higher speed than it should which caused the derailment and the derailed coaches hit the coaches of the other train causing this tragedy, as per reports this is a circuit malfunctioning on the track which gave the wrong go ahead signal. Not a human error according to reports, i don't know where ht is picking this info from.
