1. 7:04 I'd definitely wear a universal pair of glasses. I've wanted ones that I can adjust on the fly for a long time personally. Keep in mind that the fearmongering from opticians about the "dangers" of using the wrong prescription ignores that they often times give the wrong prescription, and that it's just a ploy by them to keep their monopoly on the eyewear industry. Lots of lobbying dollars comes from them to fight online eyeware companies because the eyeglass industry is a monopoly.

4. I got one and use it daily but I still don’t recommend it… the software side, while getting better, still need improvement… it’s very good for 3d modeling tho…

6. I have the pico 4 – combined with VD I have wonderful visuals – and the new pico 4 pro has eye tracking with FR – under 500 pounds.

8. Truly sad that HTC is not doing their homework to create a better HMD for us. They were epic back 6 years or so ago with the introduction of the Vive and Vive Pro. What happened?

10. This review is 100% accurate. I picked one up hoping it would be good for PCVR in glasses mode with a direct USB-C connection. Not only was I completely wrong, the headset died within the first hour of PCVR use.

    The controllers are garbage, the headset isn’t comfortable, the standalone App Store was a graveyard, the lens adjustment is finicky, there was a foggy look to everything, and the default wireless PCVR settings are terrible. None of the free apps were available.

12. When you record yourself, you are too close to the camera. Put the camera as far from you as possible and zoom in. It will make you look way better!

14. I’ve had Quest2 since release. I bought a gaming pc shortly after, dissatisfied with the poor graphics. However, a decent rig need’s regular updates and settings tweaks to get the best out of PCVR games. I was considering upgrading my entry level RTX3060 and getting either the Vive elite or holding out for a more budget friendly Quest3. Then the PSVR2 came out. I took the plunge and bought a PS5+PSVR2+Controller dock, MW2, HCOTM and RedMatter2….. all came in less that the cost of the elite, with the added benefit of being able to play 2D games. Given they have RE Village in VR, Which I also bought, and given it looks very promising PlayStation will bring many more AAA to VR, plus VR reboots and exclusives…. The smart money imo is with PlayStation.

15. I can't believe were still waiting on new SOC's. High end devices using the same XR 2 as devices from over two years ago! Although not an apple fan. I am super excited to see what is possible with their M chips

19. The XR Elite…so close, but so far away. Dam I had high hopes for this headset. Bring on Quest 3 ! (or the Apple headset, if you want to pay 8 times more money!)

21. Quest 2 still banging current competitions even after almost 3 years. Everybody wants to be a Quest 2.

22. ALL of that Wonderful Uncomfort and Low quality design and build for ONLY $1,600 Dollars or 1300 Pounds? Does it come with Free Bud Light too? WTF Vive? Good News Is You Look Good In It.

23. how do the designers warrant a salary? they shouldn't have a job at all. A child could make something better

24. I was left feeling like I'd been had when I started gaming in this headset, What a relief I was able to send it back to Amazon and get a refund. To think that the Pico 4 absolutely blows the XR Elite out of the water in every way for a fraction of the price is shocking.

26. DAMNIT man why can't we just get a perfect headset already xD this thing just misses so many marks that it should have just had down already! It's been so many years why don't they know what VR users want already?

28. I love how when psvr2 was announced everyone only complained about the price…. Where are these people at when a headset that’s over 1k releases tho? Lol they disappeared faster than homer in the bushes

32. This is brutal…usually HTC has one redeeming quality per HMD.

35. HTC started fairly strong but seem to be taking huge steps backwards. I'll stick to my second hand quest 2.

36. HTC shot themselves in the foot this time. They didn't give us any because we all made from of the cosmos and cosmos elite and instead they sent it off to VERY few influencers and sadly did not do anything else.

    RIP HTC.
