It ain’t $40000, but it is new-in-box. Let’s see if the RED Hydrogen One was really the failure we thought it was. Get the …

  1. That was the best video I have watched on youtube in quite a while. I loved the amount of detail and angles you took with it, the editing of the different camera angles, the quality but not overly bright lighting where you shot it, your affable approach to the video and topic, the praise where it was warranted and the criticism where that was warranted.

But most of all what engaged me so much was how you presented it. I don't know if others tell you that you talk fast (although: is there some set speed, according to who, is the speed subjective to the listener, etc) – I do and people tell me often, but I also think and can listen fast as well.

I find a lot of youtube presenters' speech too slow and too drawn out for me – just get to the point! I could listen to you presenting for hours on end though. Your speech rate was dead on perfect for me personally, it kept me engaged and the flow of your speech was excellent as well, I really felt like you were talking to me, not just at me

You have a natural talent clearly as well as experience and I rarely subscribe to someone on here but I definitely want to watch more of your videos, I don't even care that much what the topics specifically are. Although tech is cool! grins

I got to the end of the video and my only regret – was that it wasn't 2-3 times as long and thus even more detailed and intricate lol. Cool topic, cool approach, stellar presentation, leave the viewer wanting more. That's a 10 out of 10 – at least for me personally.

Thank you for such a pleasant experience, I hope my comment is uplifting to read. Keep doing exactly what you are doing, it is sublime!

  2. I remeber being in a Verizon store and holding one of these in my hand. It felt so solid and substantial. So very different from the delicate, slippery glass slabs that still prevail today. I was just about to buy one but decided to wait until the weekend. Then… discontinued! I dont know why but i still want one of these!

  3. REALLY sucks that they didn’t make the attachments. You can see what they were going for, but you can see people just didn’t understand. Then they got an angry CEO, lol.

  4. NO WAYYYY BROOO, i got a refurbished Galaxy tab s7 fe and instead of the OG Samsung charger coming with it, I GOT THIS RED CHARGER with it, ive got to say the cable that came with it is amazing

  5. Small critic: You constantly looking sideways to see what the top down camera shows is a bit distracting.

  6. I followed that closely at the time. It seemed that if anyone could come out with a really leading screen and photo smartphone, it would be RED. But then, Jim was always known as a B.Ser. It was a terrible product. I got the chance to handle it for a short time. The screen quality was terrible. Really low resolution. That was from the lenticular display that halves the actual advertised resolution of the display. Total junk.

No! Red was never on to anything with the Hydrogen concept.

Let’s not forget that Red also came out with a modular still camera. It looked like something out of the 1930s. It never went anywhere either. It used Canon lenses.

  7. I had a 3D phone in… 2012? for $350 glasses free screen, and 3D camera

Apparently the 3D on my HTC Evo V was better than this.
