3. When parents work long hours children have to grow up faster and be more responsible. My sister's 4 children made sure the house was clean, bedrooms were picked up and beds made. clothes were in laundry, dishes were done, and dinner put in oven during the 1970s. Only gadgets was a self timing oven. Her kids were very responsible and obedient.
