5. This game was damn near perfect without a flaw. Loved every second of it. But there's something special about that RE2 Remake that makes me love it just a tad bit more than this game. Might have been that 2 had the horror element dialed in more with the experience. I'd consider both games perfect though. So happy RE fans have been given such delightful blasts from the past these last few years. I'll keep buying the remakes as long as they keep making them.

16. It's a bit unfair to compare FF7 remake being in 3 parts, considering RE4 is a 20 hour game and FF7 is an 80 hour game.

21. Demon Souls Remake is. The difference the quality of life improvements make in that game is massive. The improvement in visuals is even greater than this as well.

Great game but with this whole wider remakes discussion I'm surprised Metroid Prime didn't get a mention as it covers three criteria……original game was well reviewed and recognized as a classic……game also has been remade without really changing the core game….new version has also sold / reviewed well. Maybe this is the strangest case however as technically Prime is a transformative remake of super. Having added all this though, resi 4 remake is a stunning job.

42. RE2 best survival horror in its true and favorite type of form, but this is a masterpiece as well but it's more action survival horror. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, especially knife daddy KRASUER update <3 10/10 tho I'm on my third playthrough already

43. Everyone saying this should go replay the original. The remake is basically the same game but a more dumbed down version of the original with sluggish gameplay, a worse soundtrack, and mediocre voice acting aside from Ashley. Really only worth buying if you like the better graphics lol
