Wasn't YouTube's fault. Necessarily… One of his staff downloaded the malware by mistake. The malware used an exploit, when you click away from YouTube while logged in it still allows you a session token so you don't have to keep logging in when you navigate back to YouTube, and boom, the hackers had instant access to play with the channel. Although, Linus did complain that Google isn't providing enough verification security or ease of use especially in an emergency situation. The lesson here is internal security measures weren't being adhered to at LTT. From the sales managers email inbox to his PC to full access to the LTT main channel.
