hi @chickengrasshead, i am an xperia z owner just to clarify, yes the video and photos of the phone are stunning. with this video, i really don't know if the HDR is OFF/ON, but just to inform you, there are specific SCENES wherein you're going to use this feature, for LOWLIGHT condition, the HDR should be OFF, the HDR is actually intended for "AGAINST-THE-LIGHT" SCENES. :]

Are you sure you turned on HDR because I really don't think Sony was kidding about it's 13.1MP. Exmor-RS Full HD camera.
Wait a second, this ain't bad. I'm cheering the impression that the TechRadar review its going to slate the camera terribly but this is perfectly fine! Am I missing something, here?!
Bit gutted to see that as i was hoping the camera was a step up from my nokia n8 (tough ask) though. still really glad ive ordered mine and i'm sures the pics will be fine for most occasions.
