2. "These devices are all let down by battery life" just use a native pcvr headset instead of the wireless ones i prefer pcvr the valve index or htc vive doesnt need to be charged

8. It already hit mainstream with the Quest 2, games such as VRChat (metaverse but good that every news outlet turns a blind eye to) and others make the game great to play with friends

9. VR headsets have been around for ages but have never really made the mainstream. It's a similar story to 3D movies. They have bursts of popularity but never take on in the long run. Most of the appeal is novelty.

11. For these things to go 'mainstream' the price HAS to come down, markedly. Secondly, the immersion has to be better than what it is now. Thirdly, the headsets have to become smaller and lighter.

16. There are very few useful things VR can actually be utilized for. Even for gaming, the interface is clumsy and tiresome to use. VR has remained a gimmick since its inception back in the nineties.

17. Quest 2 is outselling Xbox. It outsold ps2 conparing first year sales, the best selling game console of all time. It is mainstream.
