  1. I'm actually very excited bc I've just downloaded half life alyx since it was on a discount for £20! I got my vr ready pc like a week ago and it can handle B&S and bonelab extremely well! I've heard the mods for half life alyx are really good so I'm probably going to try some of the story mods after I finish the campaign!

  2. I play Walkabout Mini Golf in my backyard, at dusk, and it’s waaaaay better, like that, not just for the size of the Guardian/area I can drawr… ‘cause fewer walls. Golf+ is great, too… ON GRASS! 😑

Just make sure to have an inside lens (dust) cover that’s dark—and try to keep your headset out of the sun, completely—when it’s not on your head, covering the viewing lenses, ‘cause sunlight can melt them — and don’t play with water. Everyone knows what happens, when you play with water…

  3. Awesome review matey. May I ask how do you record your game play in what looks like 2D ? all my recording are way to bouncy because of me moving my head around. any information you can offer will be very much appreciated 👍🍻

  4. You spoke quite a bit about melee combat. I have not experienced a more "real feeling" melee combat environment than Legendary Tales. If this game had a story around it, it would be amazing. The dark dungeon-like environment along with the melee mechanics is pretty amazing.

  5. Excellent list. The game I think that belongs here is Lone Echo 1 & 2. You are an artificial being on a ship around Saturn. You interact nicely with AIs and humans. In space as you look out at Saturn and her rings, seeing spaceships and constructed bases as you propel from rock to rock (in the ring) is a mind blowing experience. The story is big and really jumps into the deep end of science fiction. It's incredible. It's the closest I'll ever be to actually being out there.

  6. I guess people who buy and play these games keep the industry afloat. I already watched 3 videos with titles including 2022 and yet have not seen anything I have not played years ago. Is the VR dead again? No new titles just recycled crap from years ago?

  7. In the same vein as Star Wars Squadrons, I will say most sim racing games should rank pretty high, but I know its not really your thing. Even entry-level force-feedback wheels can you give you an amazing experience, more so than a HOTAS for flight in my opinion. You can feel bumps and thuds through the wheel and having the wheel jerk in your hand when you hit something is incredible. Toss in a VR headset and you really get the sense that you are in the car. Its a rabbit hole that you can venture down further into as well with more $, you can get a motion sim rig like you talked about, but you can also get seat and rig thumpers that will allow you to feel engine vibration, there are wind systems that blow air at your face, that sync up with the speed of the car. Obviously, most of this stuff is aimed at the enthusiasts but if immersion is your thing, you can really build an incredible experience.
