Always on display is probably the most useless feature on a phone to date. Why would I need that if I… let’s say have a watch? Or if I could pick up my phone… even if they make it very efficient it will still consume power. Why would anyone even want that?
I love the AOD. I basically have been making my iPhone operate like that in a hanky way for years now and it’s nice to have it baked in

Apple is way too corporate and restrictive in what u can do that i hate it.
thankfully they iterate quickly and only "get it wrong" temporarily and imo 10% of the time compared to some of the "competition" 😉
I even feel the same for apple watch. The always on display of apple watch makes me feel that the watch is constantly on and draining battery life.
I mean… now you still got both choices. BETTER THAN ANDROID
