First I thought, what! how doesn't the house packed like you described, and then I understood, Google is definitely not the environment you wann choose given how far back they are in this matter (no pun intended) btw if anyone on Google reads this, what the hell are you waiting for if you don't want to deal with it just buy some company that has done it for you guys, it's starting to be embarrassing that such a company can be so far back when it has the potential to be the king of home automation
Your like this eras Casey Neistat, but techier
Wait, so you don't live on the Studio?
Call me old-fashioned but all of this stuff seems so unnecessary to me haha
"I don't have anything too crazy" and has facial recognition cameras on all points of entry.
@homeassistant will bridge all your devices and works across all the ecosystems.
Still waiting to see what’s going on with matter

I feel like showing the whole world where you live and exactly what angles your security cameras cover isn’t the best idea
Would love a solar YouTube video !!
I suggest some wood made – textured items on this space and a bit of tint on the walls, If you don't have enough sunlight and don't want to use a color. I fell cold just watching this video 🥶
Solar video please
Phillips hue has a motion sensor if you don’t want to mess with a switch for the lights.
I used to be all in with Google. They let a very annoying flaw exist for well over a year. I’m not even sure if it’s fixed.
It was possible for people to send you spam invitations and “hey Google tell me about my day” would read them off. They were marked as spam and never appear in calendar or gmail. But Google assistant dutifully told me about them. If I could find the spam invite I could clear it out by rejecting them. But I had one that was set up as a daily recurring invite and I could never find the invite to reject it. So every day I heard this spam.
Google was not interested in investigating it. I WAS a paying gsuite user but you can’t use gsuite with Google home devices (at least at the time) so every time someone showed interest in the issue and it was revealed to be on my free account and not my paid accounts, Google ghosted me.
So many reports of problems from users over the years where they can’t get a resolution because there is no support. Even for the paid stuff. People have literally lost their Google pay and Google fi accounts because of some mishap on YouTube or somewhere else. Losing these can have severe consequences.
So I started degoogling. I went the Apple route. Siri sucks compared to Google assistant in so many ways, but man is it worth it to avoid being crushed by Google.
I got some smart plugs, Sonoff S31's flashed with tasmota firmware running in Home Assistant. It can track the power output of your devices and you can set up triggers and actions.
I moved into a new house and it has a nest door lock and doorbell. Having to use the nest app has been so disappointing. It has horrible UX and look feel compared to Ring or Wyze. they still work, but if there is a sale in another system will definitely replace them.
You can tell Marques is ballin just by his lawn sized driveway 😂
Interesting video however there are two other options that you missed. Wyze, and Home Assistant. Both really interesting. Home Assistant being a wider platform than one manufacturer. Highly recommend having a look at both!
Paul Hibard would be crying from looking at this setup. Especially the Hue lights.
Ajax systems is much more better
Everything worth automating in a home I have done except window winders as they don't exist…
why are the golf clubs blurred?
