Vrchat is not a world where you spend most of your time, bc if you do spend all that time in there, it can get toxic. And can actually make you feel worse about yourself then when your in irl. For me at first it was an escape from the toxisity of my household and the antagonistic people of irl, but as I gained more and more friends in vr, it started to seem more and more like the world I wanted to escape. The drama the hatred, and don’t get me started on the relationships. You can’t spend your life on that platform bc it’ll ruin you, trust me, it f’d me up to far.
Easy 3 reasons 1 dont have many friends 2 none of witch play vr 3 antisocial but then again i dont live in vr
Ugh…thats what I thought I would hear in this Video. It goes from "this happens when you use VR EXCESSIVELY" to "VR is bad for you". No it's not. Being a Freak is. Just chill it with the VR Usage. Live a normal Life. The end
What a fantastic video. The depersonalisation thing is fascinating. It really does feel like we are on a new frontier, with parallel communities everywhere. I remember thinking the same thing back in the day about stuff like Habbo Hotel back in the day, but this seems like something entirely new.
Me: plays vr all day mom: TURN THAT THING OFF YOU HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR 700 HOURS
Hey man, good video. Well structured! Was surprised to see your sub count. Subbed!
One time I woke up and thought I was in virtual reality and was scared to walk cuz I thought I was going to run into something in quote on quote real life when I was already in real life
what I've learned: don't play VR chat
አሪፍ ቪዲዮ ብዙ ለማየት ተስፋ አደርጋለሁ👍👍 nice vid man hope to see more
Very good video especially for the size of your channel. If you continue posting content like this I guarantee you that you will grow a bunch. 👍 If only all yt vids were this good…
Sweet, man made horrors beyond my comprehension
Another banger
This makes me more excited about future of vr and playing a SAO type vrmmo game
Your content is awesome. Your video quality is insane for the amount of subscribers you have.
12:24 that's my neco-arc avatar 😂 so funny to see it here. I've spent a lot of time in VRChat but have virtually none of the symptoms you've described here except for phantom sense, still interesting though.
I should stop watching this kind of videos.
Seriously, each time I hear about weird phenomenons like living in VR, lucid dreaming, other sleep cycles, I feel like trying it myself. Like, I really, really want to know how is it like go experience it. Aaand after this video I want to try living in VR for a while. It's that more dangerous, that I have VR headset and can realisticaly do it full time during summer break. But with each of these experiences I feel that my health is getting worse and worse. But damn am I curious.
Anyway, great video, as always, I still cannot believe you have so few subscribers with this quality.
my head hurts
As someone who has had a VR headset for the past 4 years. I've only had the sense of depersonalization and a disconnect with the real world when I just started out. Work was tough, school was annoying, VR was all new and I found an amazing friends group who I still talk and play with today. But the realization of having a disconnect with reality only dawned on me after a vacation. I've spend around 2 weeks day in and day out in VR. Socializing in VRchat, Wathcing movies, having drinks with friends, After the 2 week vacation I went back to work. Upon entering my workplace there was a new guy whos name I did not knew. I instinctively looked above his head and thought ''What is his name?'' and lagged for about 5 seconds. Ever since then I realized that too much VR isn't very healthy of the mind. How did I broke out of it? quite litteraly, touching grass. Tried to play other games outside from VR and when I did play VR I wouldn't spend all of my time in VRchat. My suspension was that VRchat was the main cause of the messed up mindset. Played other games like No Man's Sky, Pavlov, A Township Tale and much more, so my brain wasn't saturated with just hanging out with my homies using cute anime avatars.
tl;dr My advice to anyone escaping the real world and go on VRchat. If you've having a sense to depersonalization or somthing. Touch grass, or change it up and play other games. You are NOT that person you see in the mirror at the Black Cat! Stuff can be hard, but if you keep running away. Eventually you'll fall.

I have depersonalization and derealization as a 24/7 disorder, VR seems like the real thing to me and I adore it as a form of escapism but I'm going to sell my headset and cut ties with it now. It's really easy to ignore reality like that.. but I will miss it. vrchat is really pretty even if the people are scary. I love seeing so many different things and it feeling just as real as the everday world I live in.
