  1. comparing the steam deck to the Switch is like comparing a Ferrari and a pickup just because they are both cars, they are made for a different kind of gaming, for a different audience

  2. When it came out, much closer to all these lockdowns, I preordered it. Mostly because of my plan to get all the current gen. And to play command and conquer from my bed. But I canceled it and got my 3rd Switch console lol. I will be getting the maxed out version when it becomes more available. I don’t like the preorder game. When wil you do a review for Ebikes? Vanmoof maybe. They have matt black 😂

  3. Two things, first off thank you for not focusing on what full Windows machines can do, as yes this is still software that has been in development mainly for the better part of 4 to 5 years, and most of what Valve is using is either modified or completely custom stuff from the last 2 years. Secondly, that is an excellent idea of putting an airtag inside, gonna do that with mine when it arrives. Great video Marques!

  4. Realistically for most people the 512gb option will barely be enough to scrape by, I use 1tb on my Win Max and will be purchasing a 2tb later this year. Maybe a little more thickness in exchange for two regular 2280 slots might have been a more sensible design choice given how huge games are these days.

  5. Input lag is the worst. It’s not so much that you perform worse. It’s about the feeling that is way off. It’s a hard pass for me.

  6. I don't own one but from what I've seen you can connect other input sources to it (xbox controller, (bluetooth) mouse and keyboard) so I believe it's more adaptable than how it's presented in this video. I also found it strange that it was only compared with the switch and not with other handhelds that serve the same purpose as the steam deck, like they did at LTT. Except for ergonomics. I never had the thought it would be reasonably comparable to a switch. The steam deck was built for being an all-round, adaptable, portable device while switch is more focused for specific use-cases. Some games even need to be adapted to the switch for them to run at all while the effort of the steam deck was to be able to present games as they are available on steam (albeit with moderate succes sometimes).

  7. a sandisk terabyte ssd costs $30. I'm amazed they add hundreds to the price when you can just buy the same one on your own for dirt cheap.

  8. This console is not meant for everybody. If you have tech knowledge and you’re willing to spend some time optimizing and installing stuff, you will love this thing. For me, my deck is and absolute streaming and emulation machine. Xbox game pass cloud works AMAZING, and at the moment I’m playing a Nintendo Switch on it with 0 lag

  9. idk it feels like he tested and wrote the script in one day + the way he talks doesn't show his knowledge about it, such a bad review

  10. Hey Marques, just wanted to let you know that the delay you’re experiencing has to do with locking your frame rate to 30 fps with the overall settings menu rather than the game menu. Something I’ve notice when I has testing out my deck.
