1. Maybe call me biased against open world games but can't believe this same reviewer gave Arceus one point higher:

   Arceus according to IGN- unresolved story, performance/graphics issues but 7/10 because open world.

   RF5 according to IGN- great story and characters but performance/graphics issues so 6/10

2. Maybe IGN should get a different person to review these farming games. Between Harvest Moon One World, Story of Seasons Olive Town, and now RF5, she keeps giving low scores to perfectly fine games which in turn may hurt the games sales. Why not get someone who actually likes and appreciates the games to give them the positive scores they deserve?

3. If you have 3d characters and still need dialogue portraits you are doing something wrong.

5. After Arceus it seems to become a trend to not put any effort whatsoever into map design eh? This looks absolutely horrendous.

6. Port this to pc and its an easy 8/10 game.

7. If they patch the jank and pop-in I’d buy this. The gameplay looks fun and the character art is gorgeous.

8. Rune Factory Tides of Destiny (2011) looks much better than this one and it was also in 3D.

Its like the writer for this review has never heard of rune factory frontier or tides of destiny this isn't the first time they have been 3d, granted frontier still had that same camera perspective as the ds ones but the environments were 3d. Even the 2 story of seasons we had on 3ds were more 3dish than rune factory 4 even though they kept that same camera angle. Even pioneers of olive town is almost fully 3d just still that old camera angle

10. Honestly at least graphically wise it doesn't look that bad. Compared to Legends Arceus it looks waaay better and that is the highest grossing franchise in the world.

12. Ive been playing all day. It has issues but 6 is too low. Its been a ton of fun and I've put loads of hours in rf4.

13. Phew, as a fan of the series I'm just relieved it doesn't look AS BAD, nearly as Pokemon Arceus does. That game looked (and plays) terribly. Already $40 @ Walmart despite selling well the first week.

16. As someone who did not find rune factory 4 fun, this looks more appealing to me. I've picked it up so will see.

25. These games just seem to lack the budget lately. They all seem like they could be released on the 3DS or mobile. The overall presentation of these games is incredibly dated and "cheap." Even Stardew Valley has a better presentation. These games would look much better with 2D sprites using the HD-2D aesthetic of Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy.

30. This review had some seriously tonal whiplash, it was almost entirely praise until the last 45 seconds. Apparently the switches terrible hardware is enough to drop what sounded like 7/8 down to a 6.
