“We put thousands of hours into this project and then realised that this drone is useless against fpv drones”
Lol I feel like an experienced fpv pilot could outmanoeuvre this like really easily, just saying.
What if my drones bigger than your drone?
I will just ram the drone catcher
Yeah, you might be able to catch a Walmart drone…lol
useless
Just attach a gun to your drone and you'll be good
Pfff good luck catching my alien
Have you heard of guns?
Just use a tactical nuke.
These are impossible to stop. Reminds me of the CIA robot fly from 10 years ago. Add semtex and stir…
FPV quad racers:
Am I a joke to you?
terminator
Wonder how many Pigeons and other birds it will snag????
bollocks
It is only shooting stationary items. Not a good test. If your going to test it. Get some one whom races drones and try to take down the drone that is racing. That will be a true test. Not what the above video depicts. The above is a controlled situation. NOT REAL LIFE!
A better way to capture it would be a single line tether that has a sticky substance on it. Then all you need to do is drag the line across the offending drone. The propellers of the offending drone are pulling the air from above. So anything that gets near the props will be pulled into it. The sticky tether will then adhere to the prop and gall up that motor. Then either have a deployable GPS fall away with that tether or have a metal wire in the tether that could send a high amperage shock down the tether by way of a capacitor to neutralize the other drone.
