I have every AAA title released this year so far on all platforms and pc… Most i pick up and play few hours, see what they're about, and don't try again. Being 44 now, I grew up w/ original NES. This game truly does capture the magic of that era and original Zelda, the need to explore and see what is next; and it does so, in a clean, thoughtfully designed manor, discarding unnecessary bloat, while maintaining fun fluid gameplay. SO many games today just pad the experience, force you through so much exposition, busy work and b.s. Perhaps fun for someone who has 40 hrs to dump on a single title, but for someone who just wants to have fun playing a video game without it being a chore, this game nails it. I never post on game reviews, but so happy w/ this one felt the need to support the developer and sing it's praises.
nice game for
kids
This game is better than Elden ring for the simple fact it has difficulty options!
This game plays like the original Legend of Zelda.
Bring it to switch and collect the cash from the great sales it will certainly get!
Day 1 steam deck classic
I love this art style, it looks like Death's Door, but more colorful.
the Gameplay looks much more involving and polished as it did on the prototype from earlier, as it should be but anyway, looks fun
Goodness has it really been 8 years? feels simultaneously like so little time, but so much happened since it was first announced.
Too bad it’s not on PS only console I have.

I wish xbox made it possible and practical to record and upload gameplay like playstation does id love to play n record this one so bad.
It's certainly a cute main character that moves so well and that map is a work of art.
Tired of hearing Souls like. Its difficult ,not souls like. Can't be the only person tired of hearing this newly made up genre. Make a new one Ghost n' Goblins like. Cause its hard.
Aww man, it's a Soulslike? I enjoyed Elden Ring, but I really don't enjoy many other games of the Souls-like subgenre. I might end up skipping out on this one. Soulslike games are a HARD sell to me. The instruction book is a really cool mechanic though.
"Instead it is a genuine souls like" *rolls eyes as hard as eyes can be rolled*
Crazy to see this little title reviewing so well. Personally the long wait has dulled my enthusiasm a little, we always say games should take as long as they need to and I appreciate it did, what I don't appreciate is being kept on the hook for so long. But seeing how well it reviewed brings that enthusiasm back even if I wish the game systems worked slightly differently.
I gotta be honest, I never heard of this game, and this review made me want to have it. What a beautiful looking game!
Hard to take souls like games seriously while actively playing elden ring..
This looks like quite an ingenious design! The whole instruction manual page collection gimmick is an awesome homage to the Japanese games you'd rent to try and figure them out. I'm digging it, especially since it seems like difficulty as a feature in game design has started to have a comeback with the souls-like genre.
I get why people would be polarized by the "godmode" mechanic though. On one hand, casual players will initially like it, but they're not going to enjoy the original experience and that will hamper their perception of the game. And on the other, people who love difficulty will not enjoy having that possibility of turning off any and all threats. They game might become lost in a sort of "target audience limbo" as a result.
But I hope that doesn't happen, because it looks like a fantastic game!
