As for Canada situation.. the organizers are being charged criminally (rightly or wrongly – not going to get into that), so obviously they want to restrict funds (cash or crypto) feeding the protests. Regulation should be positive but unfortunately regulation means gov has power to pull these types of moves if they think it is justified.
