I must confess how difficult it was to watch this film again. For me, forgiving the atrocities Japanese inflicted on our allies and on our fighting men and the women who served as nurses, is very, very, very difficult and impossible to understand and to do. In the past, I thought the displays of Japanese art and culture exemplified a refined society. From this film, if the facts are true, the Japanese military were barbaric and inhuman. This film reminds me of "Three came home," a story of either British or American family captured by the Japanese.during WW II.
War can only leave a very painful wound, leaving loved ones. Apart from all that we can conclude…. How much we love our beloved country
