1. The iPhone mini was an unfortunately timed product. Giving up screen real estate for a smaller, lighter package makes sense if you're out there doing things, especially in light summer clothes, but there's no advantage to it if you're stuck in your home.

    Anyway, 2021 was another failed year in the mobile industry. Garbage featureless pseudo-flagships galore and desperation to try to making the useless foldable gimmicks happen.

    The only glimmer of hope in a sea of mediocrity from Samsung and Apple has been Sony, who seems to me taking the right steps. All they need now is to ditch the stock-ish software and bring back the Compact line.

20. Man, LG was such a slept on phone manufacturer. Jaime always did them justice in his reviews, unlike some others.

21. Agree Oppo find x wins it for especially the design. Wish they ship phones w/ ok cameras system to offset the price but same beefy specs as a flagship.

23. I thought the X3 camera design was fugly. Otherwise I agree, it's a great all arounder. The X2 is still one of the nicest looking modern phones to me.

    Gotta disagree with the Z fold 3 being the best of the best cause of the durability issues that UTG panels face. I would absolutely hate it if such an expensive part broke through normal use and I literally cannot recommend anyone buy a foldable until the issue is fixed

27. I think the thing I’m most disappointed about is the abysmal choice here in the States. It’s always been bad but with Moto continuing mediocre devices, LG left, Oneplus has gone down the drain, Sony takes forever to launch here, etc it makes me less enthusiastic about phones.
