  1. Hello everyone!!

I hope that everything is going well and the whole “pandemic situation” finds you safe and healthy!

I am a student at the Department of Tourism Studies at the University of Piraeus in Greece (http://tourism.unipi.gr/en/

) and with my fellow students, we are conducting a research about Virtual Reality. The main points of this survey are about the use of VR technology, the aspect of VR tourism and the marketing of VR experiences.

We are kindly asking if you would be able to help us with our survey by taking less than 5 minutes to give your answers , so that we will get a sufficient amount of responses.

  3. I think that VR has potential in treating depression and similar mood disorders as well. I just got out of a psychiatric hospital a month ago, and shortly after I got out my mom got me an oculus quest 2 as a belated birthday present. My psychiatrist has been telling me that I need to start regularly exercising for over a year now, and I still haven’t done it because I have trouble finding the motivation. When I got my VR headset I bought beat saber, and it’s been such a great help in getting me to exercise. Playing beat saber gives me a pretty killer cardio workout, and because it’s so fun and addicting to play I’ve started playing it for at least 30 minutes pretty much daily. I didn’t get ANY exercise before this. Because of VR technology I’m actually staying active (during a very difficult time in my life at that, I’m currently in the process of switching antidepressants, so my symptoms are pretty bad).

I think it has serious potential in motivating people with depressive disorders to exercise, as exercise is proven to help depression. It’s been an awesome motivator for me.

  4. The graphics and programming of these games are hardly immersive. from my experience the more immersive a world is, the more likely you will associate it being real or like reality. this means that people will be able to transfer their experiences much easier between the real world and the virtual world.

In short, pay more for better programmers and graphic designers

  5. I’ve recently gotten over my fear of beautiful women because of VR. Like I’m only 10% as nervous as I used to be. And it’s all thanks to VR porn lol. I’m not joking at all though. I’m really comfortable with talking to beautiful women now and it’s helped me tremendously in my interactions with them. And now I’m excited to learn what other fears I can overcome through VR therapy.

  6. This would be a great investment for me and helping to overcome my horrid phobia of driving. This could actually change my life for the better by doing so. Hoping to be able to have something so investing one day.

  7. I lived with undiagnosed PTSD for many years, it caused severe social problems. Every attempt I made to socialise in the real world, always went horribly wrong, it resulted in a severe PTSD episode, which for me, involved blackouts. I have since entered the world via social media, I was able to learn to socialise from the safety of my room in groups on Facebook who have also lived with a mental health condition. I am now able to socialise in the real world more successfully. I still have a ways to go and have yet to experience dating, but I now feel I have a chance to achieve this yet.

  8. – "Hello. You are calling Dr.Jones' VR clinic, how may I help you?"
    – "Hi, this is Mr. Smith speaking. I just heard about your VR treatment and believe it might help me with my problem".
    – "What do you suffer from, Mr. Smith?"
    – "I have an irrational fear of hot, passionate sex with very attractive women".
