  1. I'm hesitating buying either ori and the will of the wisps and amnesia rebirth. ik ori would be a safe purchase considering how polarizing rebirth seems to be but i love story driven games and as a big fan of soma and the dark descent, I'm really interested in this one

  2. About the ghouls: "You can't fight them off.." Yes you can! I was astounded the first time I was grabbed by one only to discover that you can actually break free and run away for the first time in Amnesia history xD

  3. SPOILER

I'm Just gonna say that this game was a sad follower from the first one.
The story went 120 in every direction, you cant die how much you try, and the ending? ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’ค

Not even close as scary as the first one.

Biggest problem with this game is that…. We already played 100056524 of these horror games since the first one and what does frictional games do? Just another walking simulator, not even trying to re invent themself.

I am a huge fan of all their games and did not expect to feel negatieve about a game from them but here we are.

  4. Disappointed how this review doesnโ€™t talk about how easy it is to evade the monsters in this game. Not only that, there is literally no consequences if youโ€™re found as you can button mash your way out.

  5. Ghoul encounters are rare? Wut? I played about an hour and a half the other day without catching a break, I felt like I was playing outlast again ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. nah… iยดm done with these kind of horror games were you cant fight back. sure might be scary at first but like Alien Isolation, Outlast, Soma and first Amnesia it just gets annyoing after a while

  7. This game is terrible. Uninsteresting story, boring puzzles, weak horror sequences, gameplay mechanics that doesn't make any sense. (Why the character cannot light up a match while still holding the latern? The "check the baby" mechanic is pointless and adds nothing to the overall tension) Disappointing title from Frictional Games in my opinion.

  8. This is one of rare reviews I don't like because of score being so high, not low. As hardcore fan of horror games, and particulary Frictional Games, I just can't hide how disappointed I am with Amnesia: Rebirth, to the point where I'd eventually place Machine for Pigs over this title. 10yo engine, extremely repetitive, not scary, terrible monster design, blank story, insane amount of "jumpovers" to random new places, annoying monologues from Tasi, baby check-ups inovation is bad, pointless puzzles, etc. This game is running simulator like Outlast, and puzzle simulator like Penumbra: Requiem. As huge Frictional Games fan, this game can get maximum 6/10! Pretty sure Penumbra: Prisoner of Fate by Counter Current Games will be way better than this one!

  9. I would find this game scarier if the main character didn't talk constantly throughout the playthrough. Great voice acting, but it killed the feeling of dread for me.

  10. The one thing I care about is custom stories. While there's definitely not any right now I really hope they'll bring some soon, those are the main highlight of the first game.

  11. Such an amazing game. Finished the game in less than 24 hours. Itโ€™s sooo scary. And almost getting the platinum trophy on ps4
