  1. The hand gestures are a total gimmick and not very reliable. Fying the Spark with a smartphone is just plain idiotic, so get the controller or purchase the fly more package and have better control and range. Also, use a cable between the controller and a smart device as this allows only the use of Wi-fi between the controller and the actual Spark itself for better range and functionality. The Spark is no Mavic Pro, but it was never meant to be and I quite enjoy using the little booger. Having extra batteries is a must.

  2. Nice video. While the Spark is a capable drone, the Mavic Pro is tops in my opinion due to its capabilities and smaller footprint when folded. Plus the Mavic can be used as a personal drone and for limited professional uses with it's 3 axis gimbal and better camera. The Spark's only has a 1080P cam with 2 axis gimbal, and is $700 with a controller, in my opinion too expensive for the package. That being said, if your using your Spark to make money in the USA, get your FAA cert. Got mine in two weeks watching Youtube videos and using the $5 UAS107 app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uas107.openrobotix.labs&hl=en). No expensive lengthy classes. Know your weather and sectional charts and you'll pass. Total cost for my certification $155.00.
