Judging by the recent announcements, Honda will challenge Toyota as the brand the most reluctant to transition to fully electric cars. China is the only market that should expect Honda EVs in large numbers earlier than 2030, but can we blame this Japanese automaker for being a little hesitant? After all their engines and hybrid systems are quite good, efficient and reliable. Today, we will cover the latest 2022 Honda’s to determine whether the brand has got enough innovations up its sleeves to avoid fading into the oblivion in the rapidly advancing era of electrification and technology.

#1 2022 Honda Civic Si & Type R
The flagship performer among Hondas, Civic Type R, is currently undergoing testing at the Nurburgring, but its arrival is not expected to take place until the first part of 2022. Therefore, the all-new Si version gets a couple of months to show off as the sportiest model within the 11th generation range.
#2 2022 Honda Passport TrailSport
The mid-size offspring of the Honda Pilot was reintroduced in 2019 as a more rugged alternative to typical family SUVs. For 2022, Passport arrives with a facelift bringing a more aggressive grille, a new bulgy hood, reshaped bumpers and more standard safety tech. The biggest piece of news, however, is the addition of a new off-road focused TrailSport model.
#3 2022 Honda HR-V
For the lucky buyers in Japan and Europe, the 2022 model year marks the start of sales for the 3rd generation HR-V crossover. It becomes much more attractive, getting a body-colored grille, thin LED headlights, and a sloping roofline with a tiny rear spoiler.
#4 2022 Honda CR-V e:HEV
One the brand’s best-selling models gets maximum attention from Honda each year. This year, the CR-V with a hybrid technology becomes the only model available for the entire European market, as Honda keeps its promise to electrify all vehicles presented on this continent.
#5 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback
During 50 years on the market, Honda Civic has been known under many names, has offered in several sizes and body styles, and has switched 10 generations. 2022 marks the model’s entry into 11th generation, that reinterprets the car’s styling in a modern way while also improving its tech, safety, and fuel economy.
#6 2022 Honda Ridgeline
The 2022 Ridgeline is the same model as last year, but with a slight price increase, however, this facelifted pickup is fresh enough to deserve yet another mention on our channel. The second gen now sports a tougher front grille, a squarer bumper with new side air vents, revised LED headlights and dual exhaust tips.
#7 2021 Honda Amaze
The company’s key pillar on the Indian market, the second-generation Honda Amaze gets a mid-cycle refresh that should push the sales figures to pre-2020 rates.
#8 2022 Honda Civic Sedan
The 2022 Honda sedan continues to follow Honda’s Man Maximum/Machine Minimum philosophy, which means it is passenger and driver focused both in exterior and interior design. The wheelbase grows by 1.4inches in length, the track is 0.5inches wider, and there are new signature all-LED lights.
#9 2022 Honda Odyssey
Unlike many minivan models from competitors that are adopting more crossoverish looks, the 2022 Honda Odyssey stays to true to its MPV roots. Since the model prioritizes comfortable and safe people hauling, it consistently earns a place among best-selling cars in its class.

Passport and Civic. The rest is old news
for pure off road use the new HONDA Ridgeline Black Edition 4WD + 2.0 in. Lift 3.4 V6 4-Dr Crew Cab Pickup Truck (LHD) could do with some additional chassis & body reinforcement & a well tuned beefed up suspension alongwith a 1.5 in. or 2.0 in. suspension lift bcos it sure does need one . . . those bronze coloured 18.0 in. 5-spoke alloy wheels could do with a pair of 34.0 in. mud/terrain radial tyres to go with it . . . it's high time HONDA replaces the 3.4 V6 with their new upcoming next gen EarthDreams® 3.0 i-Turbo V6 & 2.8 Biturbo I5 both mated to a 10-speed torque converter auto transmission . . . rumors are of a possible 2.5 TDI I4 as well . . . but then rumours are . . . you know how it is . . . only if HAI had launched the HONDA Civic Si 2.0 i-Turbo I4 5-Dr Hatchback (RHD) instead of the Civic Si 2.0 i-Turbo I4 4-Dr Sedan variant
My favourites are the Civic line and the Ridgeline, cannot wait what they will do with the next gen Accord and since they are bringing the Integra back, I wonder if it comes to the main brand then just their Acura division like the NSX, also I hope we get a new NSX at some point in the future though
Electric sport sedans next?
Honda should’ve made this a coupe only instead of sedan only.

Favourite Honda: Civiv Si when Type R comes out with most likely a Manual then its the Type R
